Would you believe it - I've spent the whole year thinking that I'd performed the Render Every A1 Frame trick in Fifa 2004 only to discover last week that I hadn't. So - since last week my Fifa 2003 has looked pretty stunning, nice and smooth with just a little slowing down on some of the cut scenes.
Enter Fifa 2005. On the whole it's looking pretty OK bar the limited editing and Bermuda Triangle interface - but goodness the graphics aren't half choppy. Close up and during slow play it's just about OK but if there's any lobbing or goal kicks it just looks dreadful, even on 1024 x 728, Med res and High Performace ticked on my Radeon 9200 control panel. As my son remarked - "this is making my eyes go scratchy."
I've tried putting the Render A1 line in my ini_pc and cfg_pc_h files but it hasn't helped at all.
I am loathe to buy a new vid card as all my specs are way in excess of what EA claims are needed to run the game and this has never worked well in the past - I've always relied on the techno knowhow of some bright spark on these forums to help.
Any ideas?
Anyone else finding this game "potentially OK but a pain to watch?"
