Yeah because Allen is NOT a defensive midfielder. He is a midfield playmaker. He is going to be your Luka Modric.

EDIT: You have Lucas to do the defensive stuff. Lucas and Allen are the ultimate midfield duo.

EDIT 2: I would take Allen at Chelsea.

We could, but I don't get why we're spending money on the position when guys like Robinson, Cerny, Schwarzer are available on frees.

Chelsea's site says a bid for van Ginkel has been accepted. That was the easy part, unlike the Cavani deal, now we need to see if we agree terms. The problem is that van Ginkel wants to be assured of playing time and doesn't want to be loaned. If the site is running with tthe stoey I assume terms are a formality at this stage. Heard good things of this kid, he cpuld be what we need, although I have my doubts about his abiliry to feature heavily at this stage.

Van ginkel, Piazon, Romeu, De bruyne, Lampard, Ramires, Mata, Hazard, mcechran, oscar, Ake, Chalobah... you need to get rid some midfielders!

McEachran, Chalobah, Ake, Piazon and maybe Romeu and van Ginkel aren't ready yet. Lampard is in his last years anyway. But you omitted Essien, Mikel and the youths Loftus-Cheek, Baker, Musonda etc
