Great news. I always have two saved original copies just in case, I keep them right in the FIFA 18 folder. My folder looks like this:

FIFA 18
FIFA 18 original
FIFA 18 original copy

If FIFA 18 with the CGFE mod gets corrupted, I rename it FIFA 18x. I then rename one of the copies FIFA 18. Issue fixed in 10 seconds.

Guys I want to create a champions league mod(Champions league competition) in CGF. I am trying to figure out how i can add a new competition. Can someone help me please?

As far as I know nothing can be added just overwritten so what I did is to completely modify the champions cup id 223 (name, texture), but you can not add the competitions that would be wonderful but with I'm super happy that at least in career mode I can play the Champions League.

Look for lines in the transfer and transfers.ini referring to loans although trough be told, is not helping much, just a little.

I'm having the same problem of having done the update and the game now won't load even with no mod chosen in CGFE. When I updated I luckily DID make sure no mod was loaded. Luckily I have a clean install saved elsewhere on the drive. I understand it's better to let FIFA update THAT one. But then how do I get the mods I had worked on back into that newly updated version? Just copy the mods folder over?

FiFA 18 got stuck on loading screen after I updated the game and then reinstalled the mods.

So I had to uninstall the mods again, and create a new mod by reinserting all the files manually. Then the game started working. It's not surprising though. It happened many times by now. EA seems to change something major in their files which causes the game to crash if we use old modded files.

So if game gets stuck/ crash when you reinstall mods, it probably means you have to re insert/ import all the files freshly.

That is exactly what it happened to me too. With all the backups it just ended up to reloading all the files and create a new patch. Lucky for us, reloading the files it's not too hard.

i can't understand what am i doing wrong
1 launch cgexp like admin
2 chose the exe ,chose the cgp file (the mod of infinity 4.0)
3 load it, then appear" select new patch to create new "i leave in new patch click select then click confirm
4 the mod is loaded, go to left column click on legacy /dlc...... data
5 go to playergrowth , with right click open the window and click on import file
6 file imported , click on create mod and appear exception error

I did exactly that. Game still crashes at the loading screen. I've been stupid to just apply the game patch without making a backup of the old version. Sucks.

Well, I have the same Issue since the last update. Before everything worked fine, but now cgfe doesnt find the Fifa file.

Guys you have to delete the Data and Patch folder than rename DAta_orignial and Patch_orignial to "Data and Patch". Also delete the Mods folder for a clean installation.
After that open CGF and it´s fine!

it doesnt work like that. the netframework or splash error is still showing. Most of the people that tried to install my patch have had clean FIFA.

That's all that's required exactly, no deleting or renaming files needed. Just install a clean FIFA 18 file copy, done, CGFE works perfectly after that, takes 10 seconds if you backed up your files... which anyone who mods knows is rule #1: back up your files before editing.

Hey guys
Thanks for the tips for a Clean Fifa, but now my Problem is that after I selected to Import a new Patch in the CGFE this Window pops up:

I can just choose "New Patch" then and after this the File Explorer loads and Fifa is not able to start.
What can I do to get the Mods worked?

do someone know if can i make a league stage where just 50% points of previous league stage is counted? I mean, where I thick the "Keep Points" button, it gives me an error, saying that that value must be min 0 and max 100. The previous League Stage from where I want to keep the points has 354 id, so is there another way to keep 50% points of a stage?
