Hello,

I would like to have the top two sides from the Australian A-league be promoted into the English league 2 and vice versa the bottom two English teams relegated. Any help with what compdata files need to be edited to make this happen would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you
Pretty sure the files you need to edit are the db tables (leagues, competitions), and not the compdata files. Tables can be exported and edited in Excel, start with the tutorial link I posted above this one.

Sounds like you've never been in a bad marriage lol. Or worked for a lousy boss. You can have all the love and enthusiasm in the world, but you still get beat down by the constant criticism and lack of appreciation. It's not an attitude at all, it's what happens to some people, because of other people.

lol :)

How wrong you are my friend. My job is EXACTLY like that. I've accepted it as part of being a Software Dev and not being self-employed. There will always be criticism and always lack of appreciation for what you do in life. If you get hung up on it, you're only causing harm to no.1, yourself. Nobody else gives a ****.

Anyway. This thread isn't about any of this. Good luck @shawminator in whatever you do. Nice work on what you've achieved. It works for me. So I am happy. I just hope it works for FIFA 19 too!

10101010... Oh if only all people were exactly the same, and that easy to program! ;) You say I'm wrong. Whereas I specifically said "some people." You're talking about yourself and how you react. I'm talking about others and what happens to them. That's the difference. BTW, what you said is how I live. But I didn't always, I had to learn that first after being put thru the ringer a few times. Again, not wrong, just viewing things from a broader life perspective I would suggest. You say odd. I say entirely understandable.

You asked in this another thread, and I responded 3-4 times and provided you with info and tutorial links. So now you're asking in this thread because...? What's the issue? I provided you with all the info you need to get started. So get started.

I do not know what I'm doing wrong. I turning on CG File 18, I choose .exe file, then NONE, and check the box below. It loads files, everything is okay. I choose the World Cup data base (Legacy files/data/db/fifa world cup db), then the "DA" button and program asks me to choose the language of my db... I choose the Polish - error. Same with English. I wanted to change the squads for the 2018 World Cup...

/okay I managed it. I changed the region to English in the control panel. But now.. I choose the World Cup database and I do not have any squads from this mode, only from the default game.

You must use DBM to edit the WC db files, the DA will not work. Tutorial:

Very brief db editing overview/tutorial using File Explorer:

Start File Explorer.
Click on Legacy Files (far left column).
Click on data.
Click on db.

You will see 9 sets of db files, 2 files per set.
fifa_ng are the main files (exhibition, career).
fifa_world_cup are the World Cup update files.

File Explorer includes rinaldo's Creation Master editing program.
It loads and edits the fifa_ng main file set.
To activate Creation Master:
Click on Select Section (far left column);
Click on DA.

Another option is rinaldo's Database Master (DBM) editing program.
It can open/edit all db file sets.
Use it to:
Transfer players from other db files;
Transfer players from EA squad updates;
Install icon players for use in career mode, WC mode, etc.

To prepare db file sets for editing using DBM:
In File Explorer, right-click on each file and choose Export Legacy File.
Download onto your desktop.
Create a new folder on your desktop.
Name the folder db and place the 2 downloaded files inside.
Start DBM.
Click on Data/Open DB (top toolbar, left) to locate and load the 2 files.
Create another folder on your desktop and name it tables.
Click on Export All Tables (lower toolbar, left) and export into the tables folder.
These are your default db tables, ready to edit.
Make a back-up copy of these files before editing.

To download DBM, and to learn more about how to use it, go to this tutorial:

Thanks for this fantastic tutorial @bangus. Could you please tell me, if I edit the details of a team, say Forest Green Rovers, using Rinaldo's embedded CM program, will the changes I make remain even if I download the latest squads?

The short answer is no. If you make changes to the db -- edit player faces, values -- you will lose those edits if you update the squads.

Other edits you will not lose. You can edit graphics -- kits, pitch mod -- and those changes will remain connected with the CGFE file you are using. All you have to do is import your new db files into that CGFE file, and your previous graphics edits will show up along with your new updated squads.

However, there are ways to transfer db tables from an edited db, into a new db, so that you don't have to make all your edits again. I tested that already. I was able to use the edited tables from a db I have been using since last year, and import them into CGFE and use it. You could no doubt do the same with roster updates: import your Forest Green Rovers team edits into the new update db. But it would be work.

He has to edit the settings tables in the compdata folder, pretty simple edit, I'm sure he can figure it out.
I will only teach from here on out, I will no longer provide the finished product. I am to the point where you either learn and attempt or you don't get it.

please help how can i restore back faces from the world cup dlc back to original faces like ederson help
That message reads like you're being held hostage, found your captor's phone, and had 30 seconds to type something before they came back into the room.

Slow down. Now, explain what you did. Explain what you edited or which mod you're using. Now explain what you want to do. Do you want to restore the entire WC db, or just faces, or what exactly? Details bro, details.

Okay. I said "I'm pretty sure" because I don't create teams or switch teams around. I would have thought the leagues table at least had to be edited.

I tried but in the file fifa_world_cup players are missing from Italy, there are only those inside the dlc. Do I have to create them?
Three possibilities:

1. There are 1000+ players in the WC db who are on the Free Agents team. The players you want may be in there. If so, you have to change their team id (111592) to Italy's team id. You do that in the teamplayerlinks table. Team ids can be found in the teams table.

2. If they aren't in the WC db, you can open the regular db and look for them there. Search for the players in the regular db players table, copy their row of values, then paste those rows into the WC db players table. You will then have to add them/their ids to the WC db teamplayerlinks table.

3. Last resort: create them from scratch and add them to the WC db tables.
