This is the third reply where all you do is state that it doesn't work. It sounds to me like you'd rather just leave it at that, than learn how the tool and files work. Okay.What is an "icon," is that some FUT thing, like player cards or something? I add players, that's what I've been explaining for several posts now. Adding players works. I have no idea if adding FUT cards or whatever works. If you have any interest in learning how to use this tool, start with something that works, like adding players. Or not, your call.

EDIT: So I googled icons, and see they have something to do with FUT. I have no idea what's required to add icons. But adding new players is dead easy, just copy and paste another player's stats, then change the ID. Literally takes 10 seconds. Like I said, given you're trying to learn the tool, start with that. Forget about icons for now. Experiment with edits that work and are easy to do. Create some copy/paste players in the WC db, and see if they show up in-game.
The icons and legend players are on the game you can add them to the normal game but not the world cup mode.

I doubt that. It's clear by your posts you are struggling to figure out how File Explorer works. You need to stop with all the "doesn't work" posts and claims, and spend a few hours learning how to edit using the available tools.

Very brief db editing overview/tutorial using File Explorer:

Start File Explorer.
Click on Legacy Files (far left column).
Click on data.
Click on db.

You will see 9 sets of db files, 2 files per set.
fifa_ng are the main files (exhibition, career).
fifa_world_cup are the World Cup update files.

File Explorer includes rinaldo's Creation Master editing program.
It loads and edits the fifa_ng main file set.
To activate Creation Master:
Click on Select Section (far left column);
Click on DA.

Another option is rinaldo's Database Master (DBM) editing program.
It can open/edit all db file sets.
Use it to:
Transfer players from other db files;
Transfer players from EA squad updates;
Install icon players for use in career mode, WC mode, etc.

To prepare db file sets for editing using DBM:
In File Explorer, right-click on each file and choose Export Legacy File.
Download onto your desktop.
Create a new folder on your desktop.
Name the folder db and place the 2 downloaded files inside.
Start DBM.
Click on Data/Open DB (top toolbar, left) to locate and load the 2 files.
Create another folder on your desktop and name it tables.
Click on Export All Tables (lower toolbar, left) and export into the tables folder.
These are your default db tables, ready to edit.
Make a back-up copy of these files before editing.

To download DBM, and to learn more about how to use it, go to this tutorial:

Creation Master should work with world cup db too, right? [I would have tested it but FiFA 18 is still downloading, so I can't check yet].

Cause editing with DBM causes multiple 0 values on the tables which drove me nuts back when I adding players. Or does that occur only when you try to edit the DB from Squads file?

And regarding squads file, is it possible to edit squads file [instead of db] to add players on world cup mode? Cause if that's possible, then we can play online while having modified squads on offline matches.

In my test it loaded, but would not save. So I edited in DBM and that worked, my WC mode edits are active in-game.

No bogus 0 value issue with File Explorer tables, all tables are clean.

Very possible for sure, but it requires some work and detailed explaining. I can help you with any questions on my DB Editing/Moddingway Converter thread.

EDIT: Actually, it's easy enough to explain here, especially because you've done this before and know which tables to edit. Using Excel and DBM, copy the necessary table data from your db, and paste it into the corresponding WC db tables. Import the WC db files back into the game using File Explorer. Done.

Nah you misunderstood my question. I will ask about it in details on your db thread.

That's good to know. If there's no bogus 0 values, adding players through db wont be that hard.

Yes please.
I posted a short tutorial a few posts back. The icon player dbs are in Legacy Files/data/db. There seems to be two sets of db files with icon players: cards_ng, and wc_cards_ng. Export those files, then export the tables with DBM as described in the tutorial. Open the players table with Excel and locate the playerid column CP near the end of the sheet

If you open the cards players tables, and main fifa_ng players table, side by side, you can compare player ids. You will see that both cards tables have player ids that are not in the main fifa_ng players table. Those are the icon players.

Copy and paste each icon's info from the cards players tables, into the main fifa_ng players table. You also need to add those players/ids to the main db teamplayerlinks table, and assign them to teams/FA list so that the players show up in-game.

Not all legacy files are active. Some icons will not have real faces, or mini-photos, or both. And you will probably have to assign them their real names; use the editedplayernames table for that.

There may be a list of icon player ids on some FIFA site somewhere, I don't know. But it would be worth checking because it will make it many times easier finding all the icon players.

Where can I find kits from WC DLC? I'm looking for it in content/character/kit, but there are default kits only. There are no kits section in content_WC category at all.

All db files open the same way, follow the tutorial is my suggestion. Disclaimer: My tutorial is meant for personal db editing entertainment, and I do not condone using and abusing other modders' months of hard work!
