cell phones on ebay

my phone is ****, i want to get a new one on ebay... so lets say i buy an unlocked phone made for cingular, then what? do i just have to switch the sim card from my current phone into the new phone? or do i have to go to Cingular and have it activated?

yeh to be honest, you wont go much wrong aslong as the dude you're buying from has good feedback, but good feedback from MANY different customers.

Yes you can trust ebay, that wasn't my question. Cell phone question answered- thanks.

These past 2 weeks I sold $180 worth of junk, and I set up the auctions as local pick up so I didn't even have to bother with sending it out.

my brother's bought cell phones from Ebay before... buy from someone with a high rating and it's the best way to get an unlocked phone. and ya, you just switch your sim into the new phone, but make sure you copy all your contacts and stuff onto the sim before you do

cingular and tmobile phones work together just switch the sim card....

i think verizon needs their own phone and same with nextel n such....

by the way Kader, i tend to ask all my issues on mobile phones at a forum at www.mobileburn.com.

E.g. when i wanted to know which MMC to get in my Nokia, i asked there and got great feedback.
