You guys are talking about Career mode in world class... man I've got my hands full with semi pro, it feels like world class! LOL I started my first career with Hearts and made it halfway through the season before getting the sack... I noticed how career mode is much more difficult than just playing a friendly or tournament... at least I can move the ball around and score in those matches...
In career mode it gets frustrating fast because it becomes a chase/keep away game... you notice how the AI has your guys marked tighter than flies on sh** but your guys are miles away from his guy with the ball... closing down the space is a real chore and using off the ball is about impossible. Shooting is next to impossible, most of my shots are ground balls.... skill moves don't do crap, and one touch often just knocks the ball right to a defender... I think I need to bump the gamespeed down to slow too because the pace is just crazy... the sprint trigger does nothing as the AI always outruns you and off the ball control I spend most of the game chasing the AI team back to my half of the field. Perhaps some strong defensive tactics with a good counter attack are in order?
Has anybody else noticed how the camera views suck this year... even zoomed out all the way you can't see the whole width of the pitch. The broadcast view seems to offer the most view across the field... but I've seen throw in recievers go off the screen.
Through passes really are the key to this game... and a nicely controlled early cross can work wonders. If you're lucky enough to still be holding the ball near the sides of the penalty box the hard low lob is great although it tends to get blocked.
I would agree that the AI should vary team to team and depending on styles of play... it could also vary on say home field or big tournament games to give the the weaker clubs a bit more AI edge so they're not complete walkovers.
Speaking of AI, I had something hilarious happen... I lobbed the ball down into the box and my striker didn't quite get to it... but it didn't matter because the AI defender turned and ran the ball into the goal for me then through his arms up in disgust! LOL
