Put the locale.ini file in Game\data\loc. If the game crashes, copy that file in FIFA 13 folder too. Regenerate and you're good to go.

I've edited that file because I'm playing using the english language, and that language is the only one, from the game, that uses the IMPERIAL unit format, and I'm used with the METRIC format.

Thanks, I already resolved it, mate! But I use another method. I opened locale.big with Fifa file explorer and replaced the locale.ini file with the edited one. :)

No problem, mate! ;)
At first I've tried that, but the game crashed after I've chosen the language of the game (screen).

Héy guys, m new to this particular thread, i like the idea, and i have some questions (sorry if they have been asked before)

is there a way to change Fifa 13's retiring age? since its pretty fucked up, a real shame to see good players retire at 30, 31 or 32...

Besides, the player's un-natural and unrealistic decrease is a damn shame, old players decrease 10+ points a season, it's weird to see Pirlo with 80 vision and 78 long passing...such qualities dont go away with time, physical/movement stats can decrease, but not the technical ones i guess...

Cheers guys :)

Kenny, if its not in this thread, it must be somewhere in the threads related to a .ini files editing. I got it form somewhere in the forum, but don't remember. The files that must be edited are playerretirement.ini and playergrowth.ini.

Open FHL-BH Editor and go to data1.bh. Find the file playerretirement.ini and untick it. Save the selected data1.bh. Close the editor. That is what I did for the files to get them work. For example - I signed Raul who was by some ridiculous coincidence in Barcelona and played with him whole season 12-13. He doesn't retire after that. To be more specific, none of my players was retiring at the end of the season, despite that some of them were at age of over 35 years. I'm not sure if I got the files from here. And I can't just upload them in a different thread and disrespect the other guys working on this topic. I will send you what I have with a PM. :)

What do you mean? Let's say player X is 35 yo in 2012 (when you start a career). Can you get that player to have 50 yo when you finish it (after 15 seasons)?

50 years is a bit unrealistic to me. But I guess the players could reach 37-38 yr. before they retire. I don't have thorough observations, but some of my players earlier retire at the age of 34-35. Now they continue to play.

I did some changes to player retirement in the latest beta version. Players should play till 40/45 max (keepers).

What's the definition of realism? I lowered all players' ages to 18 so that nobody ever retires and everybody is in their prime. The last thing I want is to start a career and then watch as all the real-life stars quickly vanish from the game and are replaced by fake players.

Well, what can we do? It is the real life. People get old. Part of the feeling leaves with every famous player retirement. We can do whatever we want in the game, but at a certain point of realism.
It is a bit strange watching 18 year old Del Piero looking like 35 year old man, playing on Juventus Arena though. :)

Wow! That's impressive! But, don't they lose their skill abilities while aging?
Yes and no, I still need to do more tweaking.
EA also check the squad size. If the squad size is higher than the given value, one or more players will retire. I tweaked that only max. 2 players can retire and the squad size needs to be over 36.

gonzaga;3524633 said:
I think this is adjusted with some tunning of the playergrowth.ini.
Some values indeed are. Their are also a few defined in other *.ini files.

Do the faces of young players in the game appear to age and grow old as their career progresses? Of course not, so it's the same thing either way. Besides, a player's age never comes into play in the game, so it makes no difference whether they're listed in-game as 18 or 28. If you think playing with 1000's of fake players in career mode is realism then good for you. Me, I want real-life players in my game playing a 15-year career, not a bunch of CPU-generated fake players.

So, by your calculations Raul for instance is born somewhere in 1995? Interesting how old (or should I say how young) is Neymar at that time? I understand your point, and didn't criticize you. I also don't want to play with fake players. But we play 5-6, 10 matches per day in the Career mode. So and the players age that fast. It's a long discussion and all it leads to is a matter of personal choice - change one reality and sacrifice another, or just to tweak the time a bit.

I simply responded to your comment about something not being realistic. Realism means different things to different people. I don't care what year Raul was born. I just want real players in my game. I don't want to see the real players retire after a couple of years of career mode and replaced by fake players with generic faces.

I've found something not going well. I arrived at July the 11th with Pescara in Serie A and the game crashed... any suggestion?
Thanks in advance!

Great thread beta, thanks. I have a question for you. Where in the db are the original, unedited tables located (cmsettings, joboffer, mainhub, moralsettings, playercontract, etc.)? I have searched the db using DBM 12 and I can't find them. Thanks.
