is there anyway to stop the game from automatically skipping the teams coming out onto the pitch in career mode they do it for a few games and then it just skips it.

You can change it by changing the match importance of the said league

In CM16 and in the file settings.txt of compdata (under DLC) you have a parameter Match importance... setting it very low you skip the intro and go directly at the kick off and it works for each tournament not for the league.. but this is for tournament mode.. I don't know anything about career mode..but I guess it is the same
