It seems to me like if in career mode, if you have too much talent (i.e. potential) in your team, you get a problem with the game.
I was playing my favourite team with some players' abilities (most of all: potential) increased using CM14, because I like the prospect of my favourite players becoming stars throughout their careers. Also when transferring players or getting loaned out players back into my team I usually checked in IM12 how their potential had changed.
At some point the game would now just crash to the desktop between matches, i.e. when simming the timespan to the next match. I restart the game, open the saved career, try to get to my next match, again, back to desktop. Jumping further ahead in time using the calendar does not help, same effect. OK, I thought, that career is definitely broken, let's start again (a pity though, because I had a great squad). Played a season, and still within the summer transfer period I got the same effect again.
Does this sound familiar to anyone? Any workaround known?
