Proxnet, the same thing happened to Chelsea when Madrid bought Terry and someone else bought Lampard... But I wanted to have more competition, so I never saved (I had to replay 15 games or so) and I made sure that neither got bought. They're still not doing great, they're in 5th right now.

NYHits: Cheltenham Town were my L2 team as well. Kayode Odejayi, Damien Spencer, and Steve Guinan make a good group of forwards for a 4-3-3 or 3-4-3. :rockman: Higgs isn't a very good keeper :nape:

Well, just about off my season with Manchester City in the championship.

Won the championship by 5 points, with 111, compared to tottenham's 108.. They were up by 7 points with about 7 games left, but I just came back to win it...Vieri won the scoring title with 35 goals, Robbie Keane(Tottenham) came in 2nd with 26 and Pizarro came in 3rd with 25.

    Goal Count:
    Vieri - 35
    Pizarro - 25
    Lampard- 15
    Reyna - 12
    SWP- 8
    Jancker - 6
    Biscan -6
    Stam - 2

I beat Liverpool in the semis of the English Cup. Cissé struck for Liverpool in the 12 minute, but Pizarro nailed home a rebound in the 43 and Vieri hit another in the 63. However in the 90th minute, Baros headed home a cross to tie it up. I subbed Jancker in for Pizarro and it turned out well. In the 102nd minute Jancker got a breakway and slammed one into the goalie with the rebound falling right to Lampard who shot it home. Game over, 3-2:) English Cup Final is next against Arsenal. The treble is in sight. :rockman:

EDIT: Final Recap: Vieri had to sit out the final due to a red card in reg. season finale. It was a tough match at Arsenal. The game was pretty lackluster, 0-0 in the 84 minute when Reyes hit a beauty into the top corner for arsenal. But Pizarro hit a long pass to Lampard who slammed one into the net in the 88th minute. In Ot, Henry scored in the 98th minute, but Pizarro grabbed his own rebound and tapped it in in the 102nd minute. In Penalty kicks, arsenal blew one over the net and Roy Carroll blocked another to win it for MC 5-3. Board says I didn't meet expectations, but I won the league..uh? Resigned with Man City. Vieri and Stam have retired. :chew:

EDIT 2: Sold everyone above a 78, lost 5 games by 42 goals and got fired.(On purpose of course), im going to celtic now.

I wanted to see if it would take the whole season to get fired, but apparently it takes about a week if you lose 8-1 at least every game.

Celtic: Currently 1st in Premier league, 5 points above Rangers.
ECC: In 3rd below Barcelona and Lyon, but i play the worst team Helsingborg w/e next.

Notable Players: Gerrard, Cole, Ibrahamovic, Baldé, Terry and my created player P. Klaus.
    Goal Count:
    Klaus - 9
    Ibrahamovic - 7
    Gerrard - 6
    Cole -3
    Terry - 1
    Agathe - 1

    The dual careers guy

    Hey guys...

Been a while since I last updated. As you may remember, I'm playing two careers at once. Started with Grasshopper Zurich and Rapid Wien. I ran away with the Axpo title with Grasshopper at 25-9-2...and won the Swiss Cup. No dominant players but my front line guys Rogerio, Eduardo, Toure and Muff all scored in double figures...but I don't think any of them had 20 goals. I moved on to the French League...and was thinking I could get offered a job by an upper tier type team...was actually hoping for PSG. But...only got less-successful teams like Caen, St. Etienne, Istres, etc. So I went with Lille. Sold lots of useless guys and got Nee from Bastia which was sent down, and I think Maldini's replacement from AC Milan...19 year old defender at 75 already. I'm trying something a little different...since I'm choked with defenders and forwards at the moment...I'm going with a 4-3-1-2 set up. So far, so good...thrashed OM at their house 2-0 on opening day.

In the Austrian Bundesliga (my other career), Rapid Wien is top with about two months to go. Six point lead now over FK Austria. Axel Lawaree has 23 goals in 25 games...and the team has really taken off since I brought in a CAM named Pflipsen in January from one of the German second division teams. Still in line for the double there as well. I'm headed into the Bundesliga after this season...but I'll probably have to take over a Hansa or a Moenchengladbach type operation if form holds from my experience with the Swiss League.

Still enjoying your updates...keep 'em coming...

    Cheer,
    mutiger

    Second of two careers...

I have now finished up the first season of my second career with Rapid Wein in the Austrian Bundesliga...won the league by three points over FK Austria...and the cup in penalty kicks over FK.

I decided to move on to the German Bundesliga...was offered some really poor teams...went to Arminia Bielefeld and am off to a flying start. Beat Cologne, Bochum and Hansa by the combined total of 9-1...Boakye is going nuts in a 4-2-3-1 alignment with Vata scoring well as well from behind Boakye. Don't look for it to last though. My board's assignment for me is to avoid relegation...so I think I'm halfway there already.

Keep up the great updates...and let me know what you think about this alignment. I'd like to keep using it to stay authentic...and I'm having some pretty good success...but want to know how any of you other guys have done with it.

    Cheers,
    mutiger

alright heres a quick update on my progress
Cheltenham Town in two seasons made it to the League Championchips finally solidifying themselves there with 8th in the table finish.
It was a fun time in my opinion as all matches were tough as hell, but it sucked even more that i couldnt get players to join the team, I beated Arsenal twice in a penalty shootout and still i couldnt draw medicore names onto the team.
So after solidfying Cheltenham Town as a Championship worthy team, I pulled myself out because of the sheer annoyance with anemic scoring, etc.
With that I saw that offers were off the roof from good teams all over the world but i had my heart set on playing with Tottenham and taking them to European glory. In my eyes this can be the new Cheltenham Town.
The first steps that I did with my thankfully bigger payroll was sell off most of the older players on the team, or the players that I did not like and these were the purchases i made
    Before the season:
Steven Gerrard and Micheal Ballack in the midfield
    John Terry in deffense
Alan Smith to play backup to Robbie Keane and Jermaine Defoe

By midseason I realized that i need wingers to help my attack out so in about a two week span I sold players who were underachieving and brought in Joaquin, and Shawn Wright-Phillips to play the wingers role. I also decided to sell of Ledley King to Udinese who bought a bid up and splurged with getting Moro (Maldini's) replacement from Milan.
Sadly the only dissapointment i had in my transfer market dealings was attempting to bring David Beckham back to England for what looks like to be his final season (he is 32 at this time)

with those changes i quickly became part of the chase in the top three of the league with my only troubles coming from upsets at West Ham, and Leeds. My biggest win was a 5-0 trashing of Liverpool at Anfield. Right now I am just hoping to survive in the premiership since it looks like its gonna be a rat race for number 1. Chelsea, Newcastle as well as Tottenham share the number 1 status with 73 points collected with 6 matches to go. Hopefully right now I am hoping to beat Charlton in the upcoming FA cup semi finals and win that trophy.

Also I have eyes on picking up a midfielder during the offseason with choices narrowed down to Joe Cole, Totti or his replacement, Van der Vaart or the midfielder from Stuggart ( i forget his name).

Also any suggestions who should i go after to bolster my defense as well?
