It's the first time I post here in the BVB thread 
I've been a fan of Dortmund since the 1990's. The first time I saw BVB was in the 94/95 season, a Dortmund-Juventus match in Germany that was broadcasted here in Portugal. One of the matches I've most enjoyed I can remember. Since then, I've always been a fan.
Although I haven't followed much of the Bundesliga in the last year or so, after seing some matches of Haedo Valdez, I think €4.7M is too much. Taking into consideration he wasn't even an undisputed starter for Werder. He's good, that he is, but he's not that killer striker that we need to replace Koller. Frei is the answer! He could be useful in some matches though.

It doesn't mean much that Valdez was no starter at Bremen, they have the best attacking duo in Germany. What counts is that he always performed in limited playing time over the past years, he's definitely got the talent.
The transfer fee is indeed a bit too much, especially since he only had one year left on his contract.
With the Rosicky money they need to add some depth to the team. As for the next season, I can't see them leaving one of the top four behind (Bayern, Bremen, Hamburg, Schalke). They're gonna fight it out with Leverkusen, Hertha and Stuttgart for the last Uefa Cup spot.

Pfffft! Enjoy playing in a near-empty Stade Louis II, Dino. However, he won't be complaining, as he's probably going to be handsomly paid for the next two years. And Monaco's a beautiful city, too. It's a nice change of scenery for him and his wife. I still would have prefered to watch him play in the English Prem. next season, though.
But I greatly appreciate his services and contributions to Dortmund over the course of his time here. He was a loyal servant, and his ginormous presence and goals will be sourly missed. I wish him the best of luck.
