240 Hertz? Haha. Absurd. 120 Hertz is useful though, not for games, but for content creation in my opinion.

I don't have the eye for detail to notice these differences. I have a 60 Hz monitor and I think its fantastic. I think they are marketing gimmicks.

There's a lot of difference between 60hz and 75hz. But most games actually microstutter a bit- making 120hz worthless. So yeah, 240hz might not worth it if you are on budget.

Besides, I would gladly accept 60fps max/decent graphics over low 240hz. And yeah, 4k is gimmicky as you can use Dsr to remove aliasing (doesn't look sharp like native 4k but not bad either). Dsr tends to microstutter in some games.

I think you can wait for Amd's 1070 equivalent Gpu. Who knows what Nvidia screwed in Pascal Gpu like they did with Maxwell and Kepler.

I have had bad experience with AMD so I am not buying from them again.

I don't think the human eye can notice significant difference between 60 Hz and more. 4K you can notice if your face is super close to the screen and you are looking at the little small squares.

You're right about 4k.

But about the difference between 60hz and 120hz, it completely depends on games you play. I think MT framework engine was better at being stutter free. I found no stutters in Resident Evil 4 (hd), Rev and 6. Especially in 6, 75hz looks a lot smoother than 60hz and 120hz looks life like (60hz in Re6 looks smoother compared to other games because of it being stutter free).

Then again, games like Far Cry 4 felt like 30fps even on 75hz even when I set the game to low480p.

Anyway, you shouldn't buy 120hz monitors unless is GaySync ready. Cause games cant give a steady 120 fps- causing more stutters and looks worse than 60fps vsync.

Maybe you can see the difference between 120 and 60. My eyes can't.

You talk like me. Funny.

Back in the day Theodorakis made me addicted to 120hz and he was right. 120hz is a curse, once you are in- you can't go back.
