My second post on this game is a complaint again, im playing as wolves and im at the start of the jan window 10 points clear at the top of the league i've made a profit of 2.4 mil this season and i'm making a steady profit every month. But i'm finding it IMPOSSIBLE to sign players i spend hours in real time looking for cheap but good players with the potetial to improve even more so when i get to the premiership i have a pretty solid squad but as soon as i bid for them about 4 other clubs also bid for them and none of them were even interested when i found him, or if i actually manage to find a good player that no one else wants even if he's playing for a low league foreign club of £200 a week he rejects my offer of over 11k a week and max amount of bonuses saying he doesnt want to join wolves, how do i go about signing decent young players???

You just to have keep looking. Sometimes, there are rare gems that are on the list or unemployed. Just don't give up and you'll end up with the right players.

Meh thats life, a small club (eg. Newcastle :D ) bidding for a world star (eg. Rooney) will always trigger a big from a bigger club (eg. Manchester United). You just got to keep trying.

If your going up and struggling to sign good enough players i'd say concentrate on your defence and pack your midfield to try to reduce the goals you concede. Survive your first season and you should be ok from then on.

I took torquay up and finished the season 17th, on goal difference. The next season i'm up in 3rd after 10 games :).

i agree, i'm really struggling to win games now, even against team like west ham when man for man, most of our players are better than theirs, but i'm just gonna stick it out and see what happens.

If your players are better, but fail to win, you either change tactic too often, or don't have the right one to suit your players.

ye i think the problem was i was changing formation too often, i've stuck with a defense minded 4132 formation and crammed the centre of the field cos thats where most goals against us was coming from as i have pretty solid defensive full backs and its working we're playing better and winning games now, even against clubs we're not expected to beat, but is it better to just stick with this formation all the time or alter it for bigger teams?

In my opinion signings are too easy, on a Medium database, just promoted from Conference, I managed to sign 6 or 7 quality players all under 1k for wages. Should walk League 2 :D

I just make minor changes for games I'm supposed to lose. Maybe remove an arrow, or set instructions a little bit more defensive and controlled.

i realized 4-1-4-1 (with no arrows) is quite a good defensive formation, i hate my opponent using this formation because they will just throw 11 players in their penalty box to defend and some how, their keeper rating mostly 8 or above. this kinda frustrate me.

so, i just copy this formation and use it against them and it works surprisely well. i usually used this formation in league cup, fa cup for my young team. try not to concede and score on counter attack. sometimes i apply this on CL away game if i have large away goal advantage :p
