i have been testing the boots patch in the game for many times these days , and i can point some BUGS we are meeting with now ! also give the way to resolve them !
(attention : i tested the patch in a fifa system with some 2GK kits and about 100 added faces , and edited rosters with FCDB2003)
1. when we use 1GK and 2GK kits together for a match , the game will crash from loading by 90% ! but if we use all 1GK or 2GK kits for each term , the game will not crash .but i still advise that we can resize the 2GK kits to 1GK kits by using ACDSEE or PHOTOSHOP .
2. if we had installed the sub cinematics before , and when we sub on a player with the individual boots we gave to him , there will be a number area texture error happened .the problem is easier to resolve , so i will fix it in the Demo Beta version .
3.the reason for the crashing of the game maybe is the 12 special face ID set by EA . (like Beckham104 , Owen108 , Keane323...)
so i edited some numbers of them , i just make Beckham have a new number as 101 , and Owen's new number is 102 ... but we shouldn't set the number to the one having been set to someone before ! like 103 is Sol Campbell . you can find the empty face IDs in FCDB2003 .
if you reinstall the game and follow the steps above , you will resolve the crash problem .(the 2nd problem is a texture problem and it won't make the game crash)
but if you still meet the crash problem , you can send your situation here , too . and i will be here as well .

I completely agree with u james...Marcus u must not say like this...they have done some much work for only getting this comments..If u don't like it then don't post in this thread..or keep ur thought to yourself...There is always better way to say things so that the other don't get hurt...

If you read the thread you will see that I have given my opinions and thoughts to this patch, and suggestions on why it may not be working. So READ before you open your mouth and say I only have bad things to say.

i knew your feeling when the game crashed and couldn't do anything for it .
but you should know the feeling when i saw your thread after a huge-times testing ,too .

i dont really understand what you wrote
are you trying to say this problem is because the players who are subbing in have their own boots and thats why it doesnt work, and that you will fix it in the final version?

james, even b4 u gave those solutions, i've tried not using 2gk kits
i reinstalled my fifa & resized all the 2gk kits into normal 256x512 sizes
however, i still get the crashes when i try 2 play the game
ocassionally, i'll have the luxury of playing the game
b4 i reinstalled the game, i don't remember having texture problems with the substitutes, but now i get them
hope u'll b able 2 solve them
btw, the boots rock!
it's a shame there will only b about 25 boots to choose from in the release... hope there r more!
