Big issue with the rules

I'm no stranger to justice.

Let's have a look at SG's policy on justice shall we?
Talking about warez = banned.
Posting porn pics which can bring SG down = 1 week yellow card

Somebody please tell me where the justice in this is. The rules and injustice on these forums are unbelievable. I'm not having fatcats dictate to me telling me to lie. If SG condemn honesty, then I don't think I want to be here. Not to mention it must drive a few decent members away.

A blind guy could see Carlos*hammer is a decent enough and an appreciative bloke. Yet he has probably been banned and looking at his posts, he probably had a hell of a lot to offer to the CM scene at SG. You get better players at a game like CM, then people will follow him around, hence you get more members. How can this be if SG are banning the people. I am all for an expansion of SG. Hell I have been trying to create a CM site with the SG member at the CM forum here.

I just think it is a pathetic rule. Posting links to warez and requesting links to warez should be dealt with a yellow card for a fortnight. That is justice. Banning them for this is harsh and stupid.

I can see the argument against me for this. I really think the rules should be revised and with a bit of luck changed by moderators to bring fair and justice to this place.

We all have MP3's. That costs the music industry billions of pounds every year. Why can people talk about them, but not warez. This is another classic case of injustice.

Like I said, I am trying to help SG grow, but who would want to come to the forums of a place where injustice has no price whatsoever? I have tried to be mature throughout this whole post, I expect a mature answer with no slagging others off.

I have made my point, the CM forum, Matt and Lior know how I feel on this issue, I have not got a worthy reply yet, so I am hoping for a bit more interaction here.

Its easy.......Soccergaming is a highly respected site viewed by people from SIgames, EA sports,Konami, just to name a few we dont want to be known as a forum where people can come and get warez, and Porn.We dont want people registering just for warez and porn. There are children on this forum,even adults who dont want to see porn here,SG must be a safe place for people to surf no matter what age.


These are the rules if you dont like them please leave.

Yet I was on the end of a 1 week ban for admitting what I had. I hate poverty. I always have done and I always will.

People must understand that not everybody can afford £80 here and there for games or applications, or £5 for their sons favourite single in the charts. I was talking last night, I sent some holiday snaps to a guy, he told me his family could not afford it, he told me how it took him 8 months to save up $200. Look at The Dugout. The best and most respected CM site on the scene. They can talk warez. However, when requesting a link or keygen e.t.c the post is locked and they are told no. They try again, they get a yellow card, they try for the third time, they are banned. Easy you say? Ironic a site hosted by SG is regarded as a better one.

We dont want people registering just for warez and porn. There are children on this forum,even adults who dont want to see porn here,SG must be a safe place for people to surf no matter what age.[/B]

I never said that. Stop twisting my words. If SG must be a safe place, maybe your moderators need a lesson in justice or need to revise the rules.

You still have not explained this:

Admitting you have warez and naming applications you have downloaded = 1 week ban.

Lior disagreed with that.

Posting porn = 1 week yellow card.

Lior also disagreed with that.

I don't know if there is a serious communication break down. I want you to create a rules forum. Is that too much to ask?

Check the top announcement in this forum, these are the forum rules ffs.

When you register, you have to accept the rules. If someone posts warez, it's his fault for not reading them.

You weren't banned for listing the applications you have. You were banned for telling the guy to use Kazaa to download something.

Well i think it is safe to say that Lior or Matt wont change the rules. Second posting links to warez,asking where to download warez,how to dl them or anything like that IS against the rules however saying you have downloaded warez isnt......


I dont go to the dugout but i can tell you that it is no where near as big as the main SG forum. There they have just CM here there is everything from FIFA to windows software.

TheDugout has 11,300 odd members. That's just for CM. SG has 10,500 members covering around 6 games if not more.....

Kader. The rules should not be part of the announcement forum. They should be in a seperate forum unde the header this forum is in.

Matt Holme owns this site/forum and with that he hires mods to do his will dirty work because he is too busy

As you know this is not a perfect world Holme needs the connections of EA SI or whomever to keep this cash cow going - which it is.

Now I have crossed the line afew times, if I was a newbie I would have atleast recieved a card, but since people knew me and used MSN I was able to correct myself afew times.

Again this isnt a perfect world with the laws of the outside world exist here - think of it as a country under rule of a few leaders and those leaders hand out punishment on a case by case basis

If people werent run by personality or opinion or job description then hey it all of the world would be a perfect place.

This is Matts forum - you dont like something tell him - if he dont like it TS.

FFS I dont care about the rules or this or that - you should atleast PM the bloke or whatever you did - If I guy cant afford it then he can ask one of the respected members about it - I have approximately 50 odd people on my MSN messenger thing from SG 20 of whom I know who they are the rest are from either SGF or liked a post I did months ago a few have asked about warez issues which I was able to help......
People can do there little protest thing when they buy a crappy game and said im returning it and downloading the warez tomorrow etc etc and be banned for a day or so..... thats fine people can do what they want but when it comes to drawing the line its MATTS AND THE MODS job not yours if they say you crossed the line then back up...... There are inconsistances everywhere but do I care

Rob, you're talking out chocolate starfish mate. I never said promote warez. I never said link to warez. Read my post fool. I said the punishments vary and are harsh. Not to mention how members are favoured on here are ****ing disgusting.

Zul-aid showed this, classing himself above a newbie? Why? What makes him different to somebody who joins tomorrow? He has been here longer? Well then he should know the rules by now then. Thank you Zul-aid for proving me correct.

One moderator will give you one punishment, another will give another punishment. I think you guys need to consider punishments for breaking the rules and come to a conclusion overall and an equal punishment that each moderator will dish out.

Like Ahmed said, you can talk about warez. That's what I was fighting for. Little did I know, I was fighting for a rule, that was already in place. Why was I fighting for a rule already in place? Because one moderator says I can't talk about it, yet another one says I can.

Like I said, revise the rules.

Look guys, I'm not trying to change the rules, I am just curious how the justice system works on here. If I argue with you, it does not mean I don't like you. I do this on most boards, I guess I'm a nosey buggar.

Rather than worry about the punishment just don't do it and follow the rules and you wont even need to know about the punishment .
