varsity high school ;)

It's the Cup Final that my school has reached... night time in the high school football stadium, and the floodlights are on, with quite a few people watching....

0-0 at half time... pretty even match. then 10 minutes into the second half our opponents get two goals.. with 25 minutes to go, i go back on after having come off about 20 minutes into the game... after a couple attempts, i score and we're right back in it at 2-1...

then five minutes later, a ball comes into the box and i hit it low and hard into the corner, and i get the equaliser... 2-2 with about 10 minutes to go

it stays 2-2 and we go stragiht to penalties...

I scored my penalty, even though i had weak knees haha

we won 5-4 :rockman:

first time our school has ever won that tournament...

i was so happy :)

i play as a CM so i dont get to score many goals during the season.. but the best one was when i lobbed the keeper and i scored... i couldnt even believe it myself :)

then there was this chance in another game where i dribbled with the ball ... passed through 3 players.. then i did a 360 turn on the same defender and i passed it to my forward... unfortunetely he was offside :S i could have just go into the box myself.. but ... i passed the ball and messed up the whole thing :nape:

My greatest moment.......scoring a lob from the halfway line. Well the field wasnt regulation size but it still felt great. Its also quite special for me seeing that i've only scored 5 goals in my life.......

It was just after I got reassigned from RM to RB, so I was playing a bit too forward for the orders that the coach gave me. Anyway, it was the youth cup semifinal, last minutes, we were down to one goal and the opossing team had a corner. A player of ours cleared it and I was the only one near the ball so I ran about 50 meters with it (long sprints are killing me), finally got to their goal and their goalkeeper was a bit out so I sent the ball over him from outside of the box, coming from the right. Best goal I ever scored in my short career, nothing special really but very important. My team-mates got crazy, the same for the coach and I was so happy :rockman:; I can't say we diserved the draw, we were quite dominated. Oh and we went through on penalty kicks, too bad I wasn't assigned to those :p.

my greatest moment was our grand final, my first season playing seniors, playing reserve grade, we won the minor premiership on the final day, we lost the major semi final 1-0, drew the prelim final 2-2, won 7-6 on penalties, and in both those games, i had poor games (probly a good time to mention im a keeper)...
ne ways... grand final... 0-0 half time, 2nd half, they go ahead with a neat cut back and striker taps in near post, i could do nothing... ne ways, was less than 5 mins till full time, the team itself, had actually lost the last FOUR grand finals 1-0... and last year, i played U18 As, and we lost the GF 1-0, afta winning minor premiers...
ne ways, got the equaliser with only minutes left....
1-1 full time... 1-1 aet... goes to penalties...
they shot first... u kno i saved it... then our captain missed his penalty...
then i saved their 2nd penalty....
we scored our 2nd, they scored the 3rd, we scored 3rd, they scored 4th, we scored 4th...
5th penalty... opposing captain, league's top scorer... u kno i saved it.. good times

it was quality, was good cos afta my poor performances in the major semi and prelim.... ne other keepers would kno what im saying when i say, u cant afford to make mistakes as a keeper, so it was good to make up for my errors (H) :sun:

It's good to keep up that form.


My Best moment is in the Spring Championship final, it was the 10th minute and I made a run up the wings, I jus't chipped it over with power, not placement, I cross it, and my team dives for it and heads it in, 1-0. 21th minute, team mate boots it over and I get it, but other team gets it and they boot it back and its 1-1. 40th minute, throw-in for us, team mate throws it to me and I just cross it over and team-mate volleys with power, so 2-1. 3rd goal was a beaty by me, friends tries to shoot it, defender deflects it and it comes to me, and I just shoot it. GOAL 3-1, although it did get deflected by a defender, gaol goes to me.


Second half we dominated, I myslef played LF, and team mate with 2 faboulous crosses but I just couldnt apply the finish, with my head. :(



We won the CHAMPIONSHIP Final! :bouncy:

It was 1-1 in the final game of our league, we were 1st and the other team was 2nd. Both equal on points and who ever won , won the league. About 10 minutes to go the ball comes up field, i driblled one player then was into the box, i then dribbled the keeper and passed it off to a teammate who had an empty goal in front of him and he scored. I didnt get the glory at the time but i needed to pass it because a defender was coming at me, was a great moment for my self tho because it won us the league. And after the game i had many congratulations. :)

probally on my outdoor team championsship

im a defensiv midfeild the other team had a 2 on 1 in extra time and i was running as hard as i could the guy passed the ball to his team mate deakd out my goaile then i came and slide talkd the ball just out... then i scored the winning goal off a free kick (i won MVP that game)

Grade 8 Summer, Summer School in Andover, Massachusetts.
First time in the States. I chose football/"sawker" as my afternoon sport.
It was great fun, football everyday on nice grass pitches. (That's something entirely new to me since I live in Hong Kong and play mostly on stone/concrete ground) I had the experience playing with people from all over the world. there were about 40 people, with probably 15 countries represented. something like that.

In a regular skirmish game, I was playing as a forward, since I was too small (was probably 5 feet 2,3 at that time) and I found it hard to play in midfield and even on the wings, don't even mention defence. Everyone else were about 5 feet 8+.

Dying moments of the game, got the ball in the edge of the box. In front of me was a huge central defender (6 feet + Spaniard) and a goalkeeper. I didn't think much, as he approached me I sprinted and pushed past him, before shooting towards the bottom right corner 8 yards away. As I ran pass the Spaniard he exclaimed "Sh*t!"

I was a great moment for me as it proved I was an asset to the team. Don't really score much as I'm not really a good player. My team rushed to me and carried me off the pitch. The Spaniard was devastated and shook my hand in the end, praising my goal.

Other great moments include coaching grade 6 kids. Now that's great fun. Real life championship manager.

i am a goalkeeper, all be it a small one, 5ft5in. Down 1-0 in the cup final, i decide to go on an Higuita style mission. I hit a short pass from a goal kick to the nearest defender. i one-two'ed it between me and a couple of players up the pitch. i got into the box, the ball bounced off the defenders leg into the air. i leap up and try an over-head kick.

i missed and they cleared and scored and won the cup. it'll go down as one of the funniest moments ever!

Months ago I participate in my school's football competition. That was my first ever REAL football game.

I've being selected as the captain, and we won 4-1 on the first match. Because the team plays in odd number, so there's a team need to draw to play with another stand-by team. Fortunately, I draw the vote straight to Final.

The final match's scoreline was better than the previous game, we won 6-1. They say our defense is the toughest of all teams. Haha!

First game, first champion!! ;)

I played right back at the start of the season, but the coach switched me to striker after about 6 games in....I scored against our rivals but we still got crushed 7-2....However, about a week ago we were done 4-2 to some team and we tie it up, then I get the ball about 3 yards from the mid line, dribble it all the way down(with 3 guys chasing me), wait till im about 2 feet from the goalkeeper and smash it right above his head, the bench went nuts. :rockman:

My best ever moment was on my High School Freshman team when were were down 3-0 with 15 minutes to go. My coach brings me out from the wing and tells me to just go all out at striker for the last 15 minutes. So I'm up at the halfway line when there's a long ball over my and the last defender's heads. I beat him to the ball and take it around the keeper, 3-1. Same thing happens again 3-2. So the coach tells their best player to keep an eye on me. Our DM wins a ball and starts taking it up himself, the guy who was marking me goes to try and take the ball from him leaving me wide open at the halfway line, I get the longball AGAIN and put it past the keeper. 3-3.

Yeah, well anyway it happened AGAIN except this time as I'm running to the ball the other team's best (and fastest) player is with me all the way, so I'm fighting him off as I get inside the 18 yard box and the keeper starts to come out, as he gets close to me I just shoot it, and it's a HORRIBLE shot on the ground. And it goes right through the keeper's legs and we win 4-3. That was just SICK and the most personal glory I've ever gotten in a game (even though it was a freshman game, so basically meaningless).

Do you guys not score that many goals? I mean, even on the wing I got about 5 or 6 goals a season and about that many or more assists. I've never had a problem bagging goals and assists, they just come so easy for me. One time I was playing on the left wing and the right winger on a breakaway down the right flank tries to cross it and it goes WAY up in the air, so I book it to right above the penalty spot and JUST before the big keeper got to me I flicked it with my head high and to my left at the goal and it went right over him into the net. When you got my vision and touch, goals are easy. I never did score my fantasy goal though, which is a screaming line drive from 30 yards out. I once hit a line drive shot from about 25 out and it dipped and everything, but it hit the top of the post and went over.

I had been benched my my coach for a while cause I wasn't good enough. The coach was a playing coach by the way, and he played the same position as I did, striker. The team usually plays with 4-5-1, so he rarely selects me to play on his own cost.
so one game where I was benched cause I wasn't good enough, he decided to let me play the last 30 minutes. We where leading 2-1 or something, don't quite remember.
Anyway, after I got on the pitch I scored a hattrick in 30 minutes. We won 6-1 (I think).

The next game I was again benched and was allowed to play a total of 40 minutes, scoring twice, recieved one penalty and had one assist. We won that game 7-1.
Those two moments are equally my best ever on the pitch.
