We are going to be ready in the coming weeks to start beta testing Football Manager 2007. A beta test is where we invite volunteers to play early code of our games to give us feedback on features and provide information about bugs in the game, so that we can ensure that it's as good as possible in time for its release.

To be a beta tester on the game, you must be prepared to sign a confidentiality document (if you are under 18, a parent must do this), and have one computer that you will be playing the game on, as all code will be fixed to that particular computer. You also need to be able to spend some time playing the game over the coming months and be prepared to give feedback on private forums, or run the risk of being taken off the test team.

download, it isnt very big, around 100mb if i remember rightly.

Actually, anything between 30-100mb, cant remember rightly, i get mixed up with the demo.

The applications for offsite beta testers will close tomorrow (Friday) evening at 5pm UK time.

Those who are successful should receive information by close of play on Wednesday.

We have been absolutely deluged with applications (way more than we were expecting, and way more than we have space for!), so thank you all for wanting to help and I apologise in advance to those who will no doubt be disappointed.

Of course we will be releasing a gold demo as soon as the game is complete, so everyone will have a chance to play it before release.

i still reckon itll be out early october, but i have to say, even im thinking thats gonna be wrong.

If its crimbo time, probably early november.
