yea beckham made the most, but most of it's from his endorsements. does he deserve to be paid the most? as a player, no. but as a business decision, he brings in so much more, yea it makes sense. and yea, he is one of the highest paid players, salary wise though. i read he's up there around 100,000 per week along with zidane, figo, ronaldo, and raul.

Vieri sure is making a lot of money... though remember that that list doesn't say how much the clubs are paying the players but how much they are making overall. Club salary, shoe endorsements, commercial contracts, image rights, memorabilia, etc, etc....

maybe beckham doesnt deserve the money, but then again, maybe all celebrities dont deserve that much money. but if beckham can make the money, all the more power to him. i don't begrudge rich people their money, unless of course, its through dishonest practices (no having sex on the side doesn't count)

from the reports i've read, kluivert and his 150,000 a week is the highest. but i heard barca wanted to decrease the amount..dunno if they did or not.
