James Beattie was finally added to the england squad today, tho it seems a case of 'last resort' from SGE. smith was added then quickly removed, and it now seems likely Beattie will start alongside Heskey. even if he doesn't he is guaranteed a place on the bench because the only other striker is Rooney who is still suffering from the flu.

still, wouldn't put it past sven...
