I've been in a class since I got it, but I'll get a chance to finish it over Christmas. I don't think it's as good so far, not much of a narrative, it's just interesting things about Pep in a loose order.

So you signed Rudy and Süle. Excellent move, Rudy can give rest to 34 years old Xabi Alonso as midfielder and Lahm as RB, Süle one of the most promising defenders in Germany.

Yeah, they seem like fine signings. Maybe Rudy is more like a Rode and who knows if Sule will ever get a chance, but they're worth the opportunity to see.

Lahm is retiring at the end of the season. Douglas Costa wants to leave. Muller can't do anything. Every game is 1-0 or 1-1...

I really don't think Carlo is the right man for this club.

when we criticize pep's failings in the CL, the transfer market, messing with the positions of star players and lack of resilience in his bayern teams, the pep asslickers all tell us 'hey, he always won the league!' - now Carlo going to win you the league and you want him fired

To be fair, Carlo looks like he's not going to beat Arsenal in the CL First Knockout Stage. Pep always won the league going away, took the cup, and was in the CL Semi Finals, and we always looked dominant until running up against a better team (Real and Barca) or a team that just had our number even though we dominated (Atletico).

Vintage Robben goal on Wednesday, I remember so many of them as far back as his first season for Bayern with Van Gaal. I heard somewhere that since 2004 he missed around 80 (maybe more) possible caps for the national team due to injury and he still managed 80+ caps and 30+ goals. He has a great career, but you could wonder ''what if''. Around 2010 and 2014 he was up there with Messi and Ronaldo, he was probably the best player at World Cup 2014 as well.

Yeah, Robben would be up there as one of the very greats of all time, certainly one of the greatest wingers ever, had he never had those injury issues. His career trajectory is always up: Groningen, PSV, Chelsea, Real, (then down) Bayern but at Bayern he revealed himself to be much better than anyone thought. Just an amazing player, and his longevity (probably due to him missing so many games) is impressive as well. I've basically been calling for us to sell him since 2012 or 2013 because at 30 I assumed he would decline, but he really hasn't.

Lahm and Alonso gone at the end of the season, Rafinha and Thiago Alcantara should fill in nicely.

Ooh and I will get the chance to see Bayern play during pre-season, hopefully nothing prevents me from attending.
