Its just a weapon to outplay ultra defensive teams. You always know how a Guardiola team will play but never how he will line-up or modificate the system.

I saw the whole match and Bayern today reminded me of Guardiola's random draws in his last season. Players were static in every attacking movement, and every attack looked predictable. Costa and Coman sticking to the touchline to offer width, but no one close to them to offer passing options. It was just a single bad match though.
