Aberdeen manager Jimmy Calderwood felt the 5-1 defeat to Bayern Munich which ended his team's UEFA Cup dreams flattered the German side.

He explained: 'We tried to play football and, when we settled, we had a few chances.

'I don't think we deserved to lose 5-1, I really don't.

'It was a bit harsh and I felt sorry for us and the fans because we did not deserve that.'

He's right, it probably should have been 7-1. 18 shots on goal for Bayern compared to 3 for Aberdeen. Come on Calderwood.

Toni Kroos needs to play a lot more.

(H) They haven't gotten over those 2 goals in 2 mins back in 83 yet.

Toni Kroos needs to play a lot more.

Yes and no. I mean yes he needs more playing time but on the other hand we need to be extra carefull with him. Too much things to do at a tender age can negatively effect his performance in years to come. Read Sebastian Deisler.

Deisler was a special case. Look at Messi, look at Rooney, look at Ronaldo. They're doing quite well despite very early professional debuts. We can't be scared that something bad will happen, we need to let him fulfill his potential, and he can't do that on the bench.

I'll agree with you on this one. This is a chance that you almost always take with youngsters. You give them playing time and see what happens. You can't be too careful and keep them on the bench until they're 20 y.o. and then let them play full games because by then half of their developmental stage has passed them by and you have robbed them of 2-3 years of experience that they could've been getting instead of sitting on the bench.

And with Deisler, I think it is ridiculous to throw all the blame on the fact that he received too much hype when he was young. Yes, to some extent it is true, but we all know that Deisler had just as many problems off the field that had nothing to do with the hype on the field.

So, now we have 5 "english weeks" in a row, 2 for the matches played with Aberdeen, next Wednesday we face 1860 München in DFB-Pokal and on 6th and 13th march we face Anderlecht in Uefa-Cup; I'm afraid to pay all this losing points for the Bundesliga, we've not a roster with 30 players, try to resist, tomorrow terrible match with Hamburg, hope the best guys.
Don't let me think to Sebastian Deisler, I still go mad for that history.....:X
