Maybe not this season because of their failure to qualify for the champions leaugue, but Bayern must be hot favourites to win the Bundesliga.

We failed to win the DFB Pokal in 2001 when we took the Bundesliga and Champions League. If we win a treble this year with the UEFA Cup, that would be pretty close.

I like it though. As usual I prefer the CL...er "shirt for European duties" to our regular home and away shirts.

Luca Toni is injured

Actually in the Bayern website it mentions a minor injury to Ribery and nothing about Toni. Where did you read that?

10 day break for Toni, nothing serious. He will just miss the League Cup game against Bremen.

It's a good chance to try a 4-5-1. Bring in Schweini and give Ribery a free role behind Klose, that should work.

O that is just great. Really. I couldn't wait to see the game and now he is out. Well lets hope Klose and Ribery will be there. Also very curious to see Jansen play.

Off the topic of Luca. Isn't it great to see all these former bundelsiga stars coming back! Shows that the comp is maybe not all that far behind the likes of italy/spain. Kovac is at Dortmund, Ewerthon at VfB, Ailton is at Duisburg and of cause our own Ze is back! Thoughts? And yes, I agree they are not in the same mould as your Kaka's or Rooney's but it's still a good sign.

can you guys give your opinion about Hans-Jorg Butt (except for Hendrik that already did it), he recently signed with Benfica, and most of us don't really know anything about him except his campaign on Champions League a few years ago.
