Balls causing game crash-pls advise

I have put some new balls in kitserver, all of which have 256 x 256 resolution. The game then crashes before the match starts. Deleting the "mdl" folder, I could start the match with the balls, but of course the balls look wrong.
I am running PES6 at low detail in settings.

Is there a solution? Thanks

If the 3d preview of the ball works, then it should work in the game fine.
Are the 3d previews (in the balls selection before you start the match) working ok?

If not, then the wrong model is probably assigned to the ball you are trying to use?

Compare the .png file your ball is based around with the .png files of other balls you have successfully gotten working, find the matching pattern and then look up the working ball in your map.txt and use that model for the bad ball in map.txt!
