Thanks to all the guys for their detailed info. I managed to make rx3 texture files from the png images, using File Master. Then I imported the rx3 texture with CM 14, used a 3D model rx3 file from Jorge and here they were: the balls looked great in the 3D previews. But when I try using them in game it crashes to desktop.

I didn't use Rx3 Master because I can't find a proper download link..

If you have file master installed, you will find rx3 master inside file master's directory

Hm. I'm lost.. it seems I actually meant Fifa File explorer!

It's alright. The tools do have similar names so that can happen. Rx3 master is part of CM. It's thanks to it that you can import images into the rx3 containers.

File Explorer 2014 made by jenkey is useful to alter the container sizes to make higher resolution boots, balls, kits, face textures, etc. The thing is, textures saved into the rx3 blocks using File Explorer somehow generate corrupt files, thus making the game crash when they are loaded.

Most rx3 files have dds textures. That's what the png's are converted to when you import an image and select save. If you open a file that has an image with transparent background using File Explorer and you import another image to that block and click apply, you'll notice that if you move to a different block of the file and then back to the block where the image was it won't have the transparency anymore. So you have to select the convert option and select "convert to BGRA8888". When you're tying to resize a texture you have to select that option as well.

After converting, you can resize the block where your texture goes. if the block was 512 by 512 and you resize it to 1024 or 2048, the image will imediatelly become bigger. But if you click apply the program will ask you if you want to change the size of the picture. When it does you need to select "no".

After resizing all the blocks you need, select the option save as and type the name of your file and save.

With this newly created file you can use Rx3 master and import the textures there and save.

Looks a lot harder than it really is, but it isn't :)

Thanks a lot, dissectionalone! So you basically say that I must use "convert to BGRA8888" in order to obtain a non-corrupted file, right? I'll try this and get back to you.

this works perfectly for boots, but the problem with balls will still remain. no matter what I've tried to make them works, only to find my actions unfruitful... :(

Yup. Same here. :)
The ball looks great in the preview but makes the game crash.

Haha cool, man! I'm still working on it.
Meanwhile you should check Jorge's thread, he just said he made the rx3 textures also.

The "convert to BGRA8888" option is to make the rx3 use uncompressed images. You can also use other options if you want small file size.

Guys, can you tell me what 3d model to use for Cafusa Europa league ball?

If you install Creation Master you can easily see all the balls. I do not understand what you are saying? Use the Cafusa Ball if it is Cafusa Europa league ball. The new Europa league ball is based on Brazuca Model. I think the id is 32 for Cafusa Ball Model.

I don`t think its the compression. DXT5 and Bgra8888 are just compressions like mp3 and wave. DXT5 = mp3 and wave = Bgra8888 (uncompressed). You can use any one of these. jorge78 uses DXT5 compression on his balls.

Gabo! please read my tutorial.

Hey,
dissectionalone! can you help this guy mod his Fifa.
I think he will understand Portuguese better. I told him to send you a message, did he do that? Why are people so scared of asking questions and learning stuff?

No prob. I didn't get any messages though.

It's important to use BGRA8888 when you're resizing (not sure exactly why but that's how it works) but after you have the files ready you can try making copies and opening them again with File Eplorer and converting stuff back to DTX5 and test the files. For some it works, for others it doesn't

It's not about CM or any other editor. I have any possible one of them. To be more specific I play FIFA 13. I couldn't find 3d model of Adidas Cafusa which matches the texture you made for Europa League. The textures just doesn't show right with the ones I tried. Maybe because there wasn't Cafusa ball in FIFA 13.

FOUND IT!
I've got the FIFA 15 3d model of Cafusa and it worked fine. The ID is just like you said - 32.

I'm not sure about the correct ID without reading the documentation first but I know that the model and texture Rx3 files have some numbers which identify their variant (normal or snow ball) and that info is stated in the documentation. You gotta clone the original ball, import the hi-vis/snow ball textures and change one of the numbers (I'm guessing it's the last one which on the normal ball should be "0" ) to either "1" or "2"... Like I said I'm not sure about what ID's are available for these variants but in the documentation I'm pretty sure that information is provided
