MOST IMPORTANT –
1st, back up your files!!!
To use this league, just rename by deleting the’XXXX’ part of all three files.
Copy and paste the fifa.db into the …data/cmn folder.
Copy and paste the ENG.db and england.trm into the …data/cmn/fe folder.
Finally, rename the euro.trm file that is in the …data/cmn/fe folder. You can rename it to anything you want. I renamed it 1euro.trm
Remember to start a NEW career if you use these files…delete (or save them somewhere else) all your saved ‘career’ files, too, so that your rosters don’t ‘double’ up
Work that was done and notes –
The rosters that are used for this league are from my final roster update, so the teams involved are all up to date!!!
This league overwrites the 4 English leagues.
There are no new graphics for this league. There wasn’t really a need.
The English league logos will appear as you play your season/career, that’s the only negative
ONLY use these files for this specific league!!! If you try to ‘career’ another league w/ these files, problems might arise
So what is the XXXX League???
It’s 48 of Europe’s top clubs competing in 3 leagues!!! 3 Leagues w/ 16 teams in each.
Triple X – the 1st place finishers from each league last season, plus the CL champion
Chelsea, Club Brugge, Dynamo Kyiv, Barcalona, Bayern Munich,
Fenerbahce, Juventus, Liverpool, Lokomotiv Moscow, Olympiakos, Lyon,
PSV, Rangers, Rosenborg, Rapid Wien, Benfica
Double X – the 2nd place finishers (and some 1st) from each league last season, plus the UEFA Cup champion
AC Milan, Sparta Prague, Ajax, Arsenal, Brondby, Celtic, CSKA Moscow,
Basel, Porto, Schalke, Partizan Belgrade, Galatasaray, Lilli, Malmo, Real Madrid,
Wisla Kracow
Single X – the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place finishers from each league last season
Monaco, Kobenhavn, Thun, Halmstads, Inter Milan, Liebherr, Man Utd, Panathinaikos,
Real Betis, Anderlecht, Sporting CP, Werder Bremen, Udinese, Stuttgart, Villareal, Valerenga

Inter X – 16 of the top international teams from around the world!!!
(well, at least the top 16 from the 37 that EA gave us)
Argentina, Brazil, Czech Rep, England, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Mexico,
Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Turkey, the United States
So how does all this work???
Easy, pick any of the 4 leagues and play.
Triple, Double, and Single X are all connected.
No matter what league you play, your club will play 30 season matches, 2 against each club in your league.
After each season, the top 6 clubs and the bottom 6 clubs will be promoted and relegated.
If you play Inter X, no national team will be promoted or relegated.
Any League Cups and what about the CL and UEFA Cup???
There are two league cups – The Triple X Cup and The XXXX Cup
Triple X Cup – Just for the teams in the Triple X
a) The 16 teams will play in an aggregate (home and away matches) system
b) 16 to 8 to 4 to the Final (single match)
c) If you play in a lower league or the Inter X, you will still be able to view the results of this Cup, just not be able to play in it
XXXX Cup – All 64 teams will compete in this tourney!!! It has elements of the league cups, the CL, and World Cup
a) The first and 2nd round will be single elimination…one bad match and you’re eliminated
b) The 16 survivers will move into group stage. 4 groups w/ 4 teams each. Each team will play each other just once!!! The top 2 teams advance.
c) The final 8 will compete in the aggregate system down to the Final, which is a single match
d) The 1st 2 rounds are completely random. Bayern Munich could wind up facing Germany or England could play Chelsea. Because of this you can get some interesting pairings in the group stage. On one test Italy, AC Milan, Udinese, and France all wound up in the same group!!! Hehehehe
The CL and UEFA Cup will not be used in this career. That’s why I had you rename the euro.trm file earlier. If you don’t rename, problems could arise
What happens at the end of a season???
Nothing really. Just the normal stuff.
The winners of your league, the Triple X Cup and XXXX Cup will be announced and the 2 Cup winners will also be invited to the UEFA Cup. But don’t worry, you will not play in it the next season. (because you renamed the euro.trm file, correct?!?)
So obviously, you can play a full 5 season career w/ this league.
Can I edit this league???
Totally. If you don’t like the teams I have in there or don’t like the leagues I placed them in, then go ahead and change it.
Use DBEdit v3.2 to keep things clean. (Included in the download)
Just remember to keep 16 teams (and only 16) teams in each league.
Finally – HAVE FUN!!!! I hope all that use this (all 5 of us who still play ’04) will enjoy
