Aussie Squad troubles.

Senior Squad
Hey guys im having a few troubles with the Australian National squad in my game.
I recently downloaded an update with transfers and the new A-League implemented into it. Since ive started a new game my Australian squad has looked similar to this:

No-one from overseas is in the squad, a few players from Australia are in the full squad but the rest are made up of grey players on match days.
Any reason why this would happen by default?
Im trying to get results and hopefully be offered the job of national manager so i can put it to rights but it just pisses me off

Maybe that the update gives all overseas players from Australia dual nationalities, and the players chose to represent the other one above Australia, but It looks really weird to me.

No clue how this could happen really. :S

what other leagues did you select when you started the game?

wouldn't constructing a ddt retaining all Aussies work?

EDIT - you need to use: "RETAIN_NATION_PLAYERS" "Australia"

how to use:
EDT and DDT files are created in notepad. When you go into notepad, and have finished typing in your commands, click File. Then, click Save. In the dialog box that appears, select “All Files” for the file type (this option is near the bottom). Then, type in whateveryouwant.edt or whateveryouwant.ddt (obviously changing “whateveryouwant” to something more memorable).

Save them in the “C:\Program Files\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2005\data\db” directory (where “C:\” is the letter of your hard drive).

i think that'll sort it. But you'll have to start a new game.
