I expect to get some contreversial replies to this thread but I think....

The sooner Chelsea sell Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink the better.

Reasons:

1) He is 30 years old - sell him while he's worth something!
2) He has not got the heart or youth to play football properly.
3) He is having a 'dry patch' in one of Chelsea's most critical times.
4) Holland not being in the world cup means he played no proper football all summer.
5) Chelsea have enough great scorers without him.
6) He is on a massive wage.
7) We'd better get some cash from somewhere fast.

Gudjohnnsen (23), Forrsell (21), Zola (36) and Cole (18) are a fantastic strike force with youth and experience.

We should have taken Barca's £10m offer.

But plse feel free to contradict!

Wow, I never knew it was that much! I am only 14 so I get in on a concessions rate :)

Your do have a point there, and I agree with most of what you say. But if you want to cut back spending and make some money, I'd rather sell other players who aren't playing much but are eating up the wage bill. Ppl like Winston Bogarde, Mario Stanic, Albert Ferrer and Gabriele Ambrosetti. These players don't get first team football on a consistent basis, and are getting millions in wages. I'd rather sell these players. Hopefully Hasselbaink and Gudjohnsen will get on form and score goals like they did last year.

Mikael Forssell scores every time when he plays for Finland. When he doesn't play for Finland we always loose but whe´n he plays for us then we score a lot of goals & win matches.

Forssell has also said that he doesn't intend to spend the rest of his career warming the bench for Chelsea's other players. If Forssell won't get to play in the starting 11 for Chelsea when he returns from his injury he will leave the club. That would be a big waste of talent for Chelsea. Can they afford to do that?

He is the most promising of the lot and Ken Bates has officially said that "Miklu" is his favourite player in Chelsea.

Chelsea should make Forssell & Gudjohnsen the starting strikers.
Cole & Zola should also change places with them & sometimes they can start & vice-versa.

While I have absolutely no problem with Forsell being a terrific player I cannot agree that Zola should be dropped. He has been absolutely amazing this season so far, scoring in pre-season like a madman and then continuing in the Premiership. His off-the-ball play has been fantastic as well.

But he's getting on a bit and soon he'll retire. Forsell can get his chance then.

Carlton Cole looks a fine prospect as well, and his goal against Charlton in the opening day was good.

Jimmy needs to go. Chelsea has enough striking depth and Hasselbaink is getting on. Sell him while you can.

1) 30 years really isn't that old. With the modern medical facilites at all clubs, players can play on for much longer. I think that Hasselbaink will not retire before he's 35.
2) I don't get this one. Why hasn;t he got the heart to play football properly? I think he always gives 100%.
3) Well, sh*t happens. There's more people like him, Van Nistelrooy. We're not selling him either.
4) Hasselbaink had little or no influence on the Holland team. Let me remind you that he definately isn't a starter for us. Van Gaal was to blame for us not being at the WC.
5) May be, but Hasselbaink scored you an awful lot of goals ion the past seasons I think.
6) Yes, he earns good money. But then again I think that Zola isn't earning much less. Chelsea also signed the contract, so they agreed to pay him that much money.
7) Yes you do need the money. But I really believe that the cash problems are because of incapable members of the board. It isn't Hasselbaink's fault.

Maybe Chelsea should have sold Hasselbaink to Barca, but they didn't. I find it a bit weird to slag off your finest striker in the past years.

I agree Winston Bogarde is a crap player earning way too much money. unfortunately, no-one wants him or can afford to match his wage demands.

Stanic is one of our best players and very important to our structure. It'll be a sad day when he leaves the club.

Ferrer is on a realitively low wage (less than £10'000 p/w) and is a useful reserve so I would keep him.

I would love to see the back of Ambrosetti but again, no-one will buy him.

While I have a soft spot for Ferrer I still agree. I think we should get rid of Bogarde for free if anyone will take him.

Yeah I forgot about Bosnich. We should get rid of him and give Rhys Evans a chance. Put De Goey in the reserves.

If nobody wants Bogarde, just terminate his contract. I'd rather compensate him than pay his wages for 2 years.

Ranieri's been using Stanic a lot this season. I'll have to agree he's kinda versatile and is a gd bench player. should keep him.

Just sell Ambrosetti and Ferrer. Worst comes to worst Stanic can cover at right back.

well, i think chelsea should sell him ASAP though i think he's still one of the most dangerous strikers in epl........

but chelsea got talents like forssell, so they should sell him to barca once they bid that for 20 million +
