Hi everyone, I've been messing around with playergrowth.ini to delay the regression of players, I did a lot of testing but didn't have any success. I'm pretty sure that values responsible for this are AGE_(1-10) and RATIO_(1-10), but nothing changed during my test with those values, is it possible that they cannot be changed or something? I don't have any other ideas, or maybe I'm just looking in wrong ini file? I would appreciate any help on this.

aranaktu's ini converter doesnt work with any value that uses string replacement. you will have to wait for galaxyman's mod tools.

what do you exactly mean by "string replacement" if for example i want to set in cmsettings matchimportance=0, won't it work?

If you see %s or %i or %f, it is expecting the game code to replace these with a string/name/number at runtime. If you breakpoint (check each value when its executing) in cheatengine, it gets confused with these settings as its looping through in game code. So therefore it doesn't do anything.

Updated addresses for newest FIFA version.

Hi aranaktu.
Thanks for the tool.
I just wanted to understand which tool version correspon to which fifa 18 update version.
Is the first version you published for 1.0.2 or vanilla version?
And this one I'm quoting is for 1.0.3 and the last one you published for 1.0.4?

When I launch cheat engine it recongizes my fifa exe and seems to load the script; is that enough to say it's working or should I check something else?

I don't remember. Basically, if you will use script generated by wrong tool version your game will probably crash. You can also use something easy to check ingame (i.e "MAX_CARDS" from simsettings.ini) to validate if you are using correct tool version, or not.

Added FIFA 18 .ini files.

Code:

And it's probably last update. :P
FrostyTool is supporting FIFA 18, so my tool isn't needed anymore. :)

Aranaktu, your tool was and still is very usefull in preparing for full modding so we are not completly taken by surprise by the new format.
And I don't think it's the last time is needed because frosty editor is not yet at full potential.
And anyway, in changing playernames, bodytypes and things like that, it will be used untill the end of fifa 18 life cycle so about not needed anymore....not true, very needed.

Does anyone happent o know if this will allow editing in FIFA 17 and if so, whether edit to cmsettings and transfers will allow you to turn off injuries and transfers completely?

Editing the FIFA 16 career files, I was able to shut off injuries in played games, but not simmed games. Have no idea if that's possible in FIFA 17 given the editing limitations. Didn't even bother to try and edit anything other than the db.

As for no transfers, use DBM to make all players 18 years old and with contracts until the year 2030. And even lower all teams' budgets to like $250,000. Players don't move after that.

How did you do the injuries in 16? Just want to see if it's what I tried. I'll give it a shot in 17 as well.

Sounds good. Do you know if that works in FIFA18 as well? Or is that kind of edit not even possible in 18 yet?

Possible in both 17 and 18, tutorial here:

And now that the Frosty editor is out, it's now possible to edit the 18 career files. I do not know if that was possible in 17 though as I gave up on that game and went back to 16 for the whole of last year. Sorry, I cannot remember what I edited in the 16 career files to shut off injuries during matches. But it was something very obvious as I was able to do it and yet I have no idea how those files work really.

I think I vaguely remember just switching some setting with the word injury to a value of 0 instead of 1. Either in cmsettings or simsettings, I don't recall. But, thank you because the inability to turn off transfers is the only reason I can't play FIFA. If I could remove that I'd be very happy.

Hey, I did it. Very easy instructions but unfortunately it creates a save that the game won't load.

Also, I've tried playing with editing career files in 17 but it just causes the game to crash. In 18 until the encryption is released, there isn't anything that can be done to mod things like career, I don't think.
Many of us are using the edited db in both 17 and 18, it loads fine and works in career mode. It crashes if you don't delete the bogus 0 values in the tables as instructed.

Frosty Editor is out and a number of career mods have been released already, we most certainly can mod and use career files in 18. In 17, I do not know as I didn't mod that game last year.

Hold on please Bangus, I have same crash I cannot remember where I read the solution, so I would be gratefull if you could direct us or repeat in short the solution.
Where is this 0 value located ?

Ok, I'm looking at this right now and just read that note about the values. How do I know what is a bogus 0 value and what is an actual 0, though? Everything 0 in the charts has to be deleted?

Ok, I thought I had read somewhere that until the encryption was solved for 18, there would be no editing possible. Ok. I'll try then.
