Amazing how unfinished Fifa 07 seems, since theres so many elementary problems still present in the final release. Im sure some of you are aware of the genious installation-bug in recent EA Sports games ;)

Hey - I had same problem with my laptop and I fixed it:

1) Start -> Run -> Type in: notepad C:\boot.ini

2) Add following: /usepmtimer

Ex:
[boot loader]
timeout=30
default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS
[operating systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition" /noexecute=optin /fastdetect /usepmtimer

3) Save and exit Notepad

4) Reboot and enjoy playing Fifa (and other EA sport games).

Additional info:
If you need laptop driver update, go to http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/index.php?drivers

Sounds great..now i only have one problem: My Boot.ini is write-protected..how can i change that..so i can add /usepmtimer-line? :rolleyes:

Other way to change boot.ini

1) Right click on 'My Computer' and select propt(the last function).
2) Click on the tab 'Advanced'.
3) Click on 'Options' in the third field.
4) Click on 'Edit'
5) Add the /usepmtimer
6) Save and exit
7) Reboot

If you still cant save boot.ini, locate the file and un-select white-protected in propt. Normally are system files like boot.ini not displayed. To unhide system files, go to Options -> Directory Options -> Display -> And un-select the name labeled something like 'Hide protected OS-system files'.
