an alright game, finally they have realised they have to copy pro, in the past 2 years it is getting closer and closer. The formations screen even uses the RIGHT to go to subs bench thing now. The side-step, holding R2 with no D-pad causes your player stop and turn and face goal.

Ive been playing pro since 1997, when International superstar soccer pro come out lol, i was at software plus+ (RIP) at 8.50 on release day to get my hands on it and ever since haven't touched FIFA, but now it finally can rival Pro (sort of)

I really don't care if it's an improvement, or a massive one. The demo felt retarded in comparison to WE/PES.

Today, after an entire year of playing WE:9, in a Final cup match, the cpu's keeper was sent off for the 1st time after knocking down my forward... I missed the penalty... a couple of chances... in the last minute of the 2nd extratime, Owen scored a goal while litterally standing on the corner line... shot about the keeper's head... hit the opposite post and went in...

2 first timers in one game, a year after playing...

This is how PES/WE feels like.... whereas in fifa, there is PREDICTABILITY written al over it... not to mention the PC/sliding feeling of the gameplay as a whole... again, the demo felt retarded.

remember that FIFA has the career mode with fa cup etc, and u can download a patch with all new colorful kits and gameplay tweaks. the FIFA editing scene is massive and much easier to implement than we/pes

I envy FIFA's featuring the dominant European clubs & rest of the worldwide clubs. The career mode is the one addictive feature one in FIFA.

And even that did nothing for me in 06. If they can make it so you can place bids during non transfer period and make it easier to navigate menus (plus fix the finance problem) I will be a very happy man.

lets face it fellow pes fans, FIFA getting better is a very good thing for us, because KONAMI might actually start buying more licences.

competition has always been a good thing for the consumer :D

Well I wouldnt worry too much. After having played a few games in Fifa 07, I uninstalled it again. Game stability is/was crap, matches played were dull and the ball psysics still not close to right.

Looks better on the X360 video yeah - hopefully it'll play better too. Altho PES6 is also coming to X360 in October and looking fantastic.

For PC gamers tho...Fifa is disappointing

Or start making changes to the gameplay as I'm getting very sick of Konami and their "on-rails" gameplay at this point, its as if they are progressing backwards with their past couple of games..........

I played fifa 2007even after some improvements its still sh*t ...same old stupid shooting system ..it feels like kicking a stone not a ball. its not even half good as PES5 let alone PES 6 :nape:

PES 6 for 360 is ****ty...

About the only good thing on it is the ball physics...

Compare both Fifa 07 and 360... you the running for PES 6 be extremely unrealistic, players arms are extremely scripted and it's such a ridiculous tempo...

Graphics are ****ty and sound is terrible... Menu system is still that junk from 1985 and to me that does it...

If I can play a much more modern, graphically and sound awesome game, with a very decent gameplay (despite a lack of perfect ball physics, but really close),

I would choose FIFA 10 out of 10 times...

PES is truly dissapointing me over the years, and some of the die-hard fans are becoming fanboys in my opinion, because the difference in quality is absolutely staggering...

Whoever denies the improvement in Fifa 07 over the previous versions is blinded by PES fanatism.

Fifa 07 is feeling very good after poor Fifa's we have played for years.

Just tried the Fifa 07 demo from Xbox Marketplace yesterday. It's definately an improvement but it still doesnt feel right somehow. The gameplay just dont feel smooth enough and shooting/passing feels a bit wrong sometimes. And they've still not managed to fix the nets. Scored a decent goal with Barcelona...a long shot...and the ball just hit the back of the net like its a wall and dropped down 90 degrees.

To sum up my experience with the X360 Fifa 07 demo....graphics look good, gameplay def. better than previous years fifa-games...but gameplay still feels a bit wrong, its like i foresee the same negative things as the previous versions (scoring from same place every time etc.).

Now gimme the PES6 demo on X360 and then we can really compare.

There will always be people who prefers Fifa-games and people who prefers PES-games. Both game developments have been disappointing the past few years but in my opinion, PES has kept its amazing gameplay and thats (after all) what makes it fun to play for me.

Besides...your comment which i just quoted...looks just as much fanboyish as the PES die-hard fans. Oh..and have u actually tried PES6 (or the demo) for X360 yet??

You guys are being too harsh on fifa. I played the demo and was so impressed at the way the gameplay has changed since 2003 when i stopped playing it. They;ve made a lot of effort. And they are getting there. Just a few tweaks maybe next year they'll take a giant leap forward and finally get it right. But right now it looks very impresive.

Remember Pes has the problem with player technique. You have to do everything carefully or you might end up miscontrolling or mi****ing a shot. Thats where Pro has the edge.
