Taking place in an increasingly strained political situation in Gabon coming out of controversial elections and a foreign media blackout. All this after it was moved from Libya.

Zaha making debut tournament. Adebayor swansong. Worst ever Cameroon side still made it some how. Lots of talent to watch out for for Senegal, probably the best squad man-for-man. Really just Aumbemayang for the hosts (and Sunderland Ndong) . Ghana are weaker than we are used to. Congo apparently have good overall team. Traore at Burkina Faso is one you watch for Chelsea fans.

Uganda and Guinea-Bissau very much making up the numbers, debut for G-B, also Zimbabwe made it some how

Congo held CIV to a 2-2 draw in a cracking game and top the group - I think they could surprise us. Algeria in a surprise loss to neighbours Tunisia yesterday. Ghana also look pretty shitty.

I don't understand it honestly, I think it's one of the most interesting tournaments of all.

CIV and Algeria are both out - Senegal look good, dr Congo are a good team as predicted and also Egypt (and Tunisia) doing it for the North.

I would be interested but for some reason it isn't broadcasted here anymore and I'm not curious enough to watch streams. Looking at the squads though it is surprising to see so many "big names" missing.

both my picks (Senegal and Congo) dumped out. Ghana have to be favourites now, though of course the dream is for this little Bertrand traore led Burkina team to make it. Being the anc though it will probably be won by the shittest Cameroon side in history
