Looks like you've not been following Dutch football of late. Klaas is pretty out of form.

Oh and BTW Wes is our topscorer.

Concerning the match, :|
That's all really, I mean we did well in the first half. If Wes would've shot when he broke through with Ryan and Donald, it might've been a diffrent story, atleast we'd have an away goal.
Now it's almost impossible to get back. But never say never, ey.

Honestly I can't say that I have been paying that much attention to Dutch football lately. I still found it surprising that JKH was on the bench, a player like him can score at any moment no matter what form he is in. Good luck in the second leg but it will take a freaking monumental game to turn around this score.

Ajax were lucky to concede only 3 goals, I lost count how many times Bremen hit the post or the bar towards the end.
The second goal should've been disallowed though, no doubt.

I thought the tactics weren't too bad. If you watched Bremen's recent defeats to Schalke and Stuttgart the best way to beat them is to play deep counter attacking football. Ajax, although one man down, were solid defensively in the first half. Bremen couldn't create a single chance except for Naldo's freekick. I didn't understand why they didn't stick to that after the second goal.

As for the second leg, Ajax will have to attack them from the first minute on. That's kinda risky against Werder to say the least. Anyway, it's definitely gonna be a fun match to watch.

I feel bad for Ajax fans. Not making excuses for Ajax fans but everyone here knows that Lucilio Batista is a corrupt clown. Don´t even know how he is an international. Everyone despises him in Portugal but it seems to me that he is Uefa´s pet for their dirty work.

Yeah the ref was a big f*cking dick thats for sure
After the goal that wasn't a goal, Sneijder went to the ref to ask why he allowed the goal and that bastard gave him the yellow card :boohoo:

Well the referee was crap, I remember someone tackled Jaap and it takes alot to take him down I'm telling you. But this doesn't mean Werder wasn't better, if they would've been a bit more concentrated they could have made atleast 6 really. :(

Yeah I know what you mean, that blatant foul on Jaap where the player lunged in with two feet forward should've been red!

Werder lost against HSV with 0-2 at home today.
Rafael scored twice and he had a worldclass action when he took the ball out of the air on his backheel, too bad the ball was just wide cause it was stunning. I've been watching the highlights on Sportschau.
His star is rising and rising in Germany that's for sure, MoM in Bremen and going strong.
He says that he will return to his club Ajax one day but for me it cannot be soon enough :p

Tomorrow Excelsior in Amsterdam, should be a normal win and of course the players want to show us that this loss against Bremen was unlucky. (poor Excelsior)
Thursday Werder again but now in de Arena at home, I will be there even if it's almost impossible to get back from a 3-0 defeat but I've seen it happen and Bremen is very much out of form, they hoped that they were out of the crisis after the win against us but the game against HSV showed smth else.

I was live in the Stadium.

Oh yeah that was a classic, I was live there (as usual) and we were stunned in the stadium but we clapped our hands till they bled woooooooooow what a goal that was!
The action against Werder on saturday deserved a goal it was awesome too.

2-2 against Excelsior pffffff what can I say
2 huge mistakes led to both goals from Excelsior, Heitinga should know to never defend through the middle WTF, hell an amateur should know this OMG :kader: and the second goal was a mistake by Gabri and Anita but you can't really blame Anita since he's only 17 yo but Gabri come on he should've known better than let Slory go through.
Stam MoM said it all, he was everywhere, in defense, midfield, rightback, rightwing EVERYWHERE! But that's not good, the work needs to be done by the team and the ball not only Stam.

A feeling of Deja Vu creeps up here, same as last year.. the moment we can run away from AZ we draw against a team who is almost demoted :boohoo:
And even worse psv won and AZ drew as well dammit.
Thursday Werder and sunday AZ pfffffffff thankgod Ogararu will be back thursday. Huntelaar should stay in the first 11 that's for sure, he is a more developed and cunning striker than Babel is. And I hope that Perez starts he makes the difference almost every time.

And what a goal from EDJE :|

tough luck today lads, you clearly dominated the match, they just got that early goal and set you back (:/). at least you went out on your feet and with a solid victory unlike my club :nape:

btw, Ogararu got another MotM on uefa.com :)

Wow just got back it was traffic everywhere around the stadium and then I had to stop for an alcoholcheck bah :boohoo:

Guys I'm so very proud of my team tonight, we KICKED ASS!! tonight and showed Werder how resilliant we are this season. 3-1 win against Werder Bremen is smth to be proud of but it's so f*cking bad that they scored as well otherwise our chances to proceed would've been so much bigger
Ah well I hope the team learns from the last weeks, tonight we were better stronger and more agressive. I'm very happy that KJH scored another girl and it was a difficult one as well..turning and shooting..
Leonardo's goal was very nice as well and you are right vankasteren, Babel was amazing tonight but so was Ogararu together with Jaap our rocks in defense today.
We can leave the tournaments with our heads high, first it's no shame to lose against a team like Werder cause all the great clubs find it difficult to play against them (Chelsea, Barca) but we did what we had to and won this match convincingly so well done lads and I hope this will give our guys a boost against AZ on sunday.
I truly hope that HtC will start with the same team as tonight, I loved it to see Perez, KJH, Ryan, Wes, Leo in the starting line up but on sunday we have Edje of course and Gabri will be back (suspended tonight)

Werder was very lucky tonight cause clearly now was the time to go through, the chances Babel had and KJH to score the decision was there but Wiese stopped them and that's a shame.

Damn, if Roger hadn't got faked by Borowski like a "F-je", we actually would've got extra time. Once Leonardo had scored I thought we were in with a shout. But than we gave away that goal so cheaply.

In the end I'm proud we've won with 3-1, but it was just not enough. I feel we were actually slightly better in the tie overall. If Lindenbergh wouldn't have been send off and if that second goal by Bremen a week ago would've been rightfully disallowed...

But those are if-theory's, fact is we're out. Let's concentrate on getting after PSV now.
