Buy a Radeon 9800 Pro like mine, do it right!
Radeon 9200 256 mb is great but get this....Radeon 9800 Pro with even 128mb outruns that one!

cant afford £380 :(

ok guys 1 last question

i have decided on two cards, ill get one or the other.

card "a" £65 has 128mb ram 400mhz memory clock speed but AGP*4

card "b" £70 has 256mb ram 166mhz " " and AGP*8

both are made by radeon + the best in my price range.

can you guys say which is best plz.

There is very little difference between 4x and 8x, when you buy a 8x AGP be sure that your motherboard supports it otherwise it's a waist of money believe me
I hope your motherboard is not an Asus P4G8x (deluxe) cause the chipset has a problem with Radeoncards
I've found out the hard way and had to buy a new mobo, now I have the P4C800 and this one works like a dream with Radeoncards, when you DO have a P4G8X, buy a GeForce and not a Radeon.
Back to your question, when your mobo supports it, go for the 256mb and 8x AGP of course ;)

G'luck

Here's a review from Tom's Hardware Guide regarding the 9200.http://www6.tomshardware.com/graphic/20030306/radeon9800pro-05.html

As for motherboards, I think cards will automatically figure out what they need in terms of 4x/8x based on your motherboard.

Can always e-mail your mo-bo manufacturer or Radeon and I'm sure they'll be able to help you out (especially Radeon, sure this card works with this motherboard, buy the card! heh).

I've now got a Radeon 9800 Pro, and it works brilliantly on the P4P800 Deluxe mobo. The only problem i have is that the refresh rate keeps reverting to 60Hz when I play any game at a high resolution.

It's not to do with my monitor cos the highest frame rate it's capable of is 160Hz

I have GeforceFX 5600 256 MB DDR RAM...and I must say it's also a good graphic card for budget user.U can also go for it.In Fifa graphic quality is really very brilliant and u can play any game at 4X AA and 8X Anisotropic easily with this graphic card.I am showing u some ss..take a look at that :$

3rd and last...one more with my card ,shine on football comes really good....if u r budget user and also want to play the game at good setting then I recommend u to buy this card...u will have no trouble with it and also u can trust the quality of detonator drivers.Card is fully directx9 compatible whereas 9600 is not fully directx9 compatible...high end segment is with ATI (upto some extent)but mid range segment is still with nVIDIA, anyhow Best of Luck for ur graphic card.

GeForce 4 was crap. I had a Ti4800 for about six months and despite the fact that the visuals looked good, the frame rates were terrible, especially in FIFA where it would do nothing but stutter.
