Activating third kits! The tutorial!

okay sweet, that solves that.

A strange thing about the profile though. I need to double check this, but if I remember right when I created a new profile, I saw all the "new" third kits, but when I reloaded with that same profile after exiting and restarting the game, the kits were gone again.

Now, besides that problem, can you help me out with another one? (thanks by the way for all the info so far).

How do you update the squads in the FIFA.DB? Has someone created a file to "inject" in there that has all the latest transfers? I had also grabbed some appropriate people from the mexican and korean leagues and edited them into some of the missing players in the euro league. I guess I lose all that.

See what I wrote in the post above, you have to delete the D.SQUADS in your "my documents/fifa06" folder else all the teams will show up empty.

Well I update my rosters myself last year with the creation centre but since this year there is none yet, I update them in Access this way :

I download the updated fifa.db (which has updated rosters) and rename it to updatedfifa.db, I reconvert this one to Access updatedfifa.mdb.

I also convert my custom fifa.db (which contains my modifications like kits and fonts and stuff) to fifa.mdb

I export the tables table_teams, table_teamkits and table_unlockables from my mdb to the updated one, overwriting those in it, rename it, reconvert it back to fifa.db and voila...

Excellent info once again.

Okay I need to find that transfer updated FIFA.DB and then I will be in business.

Great work on all this third kit stuff. EA just shoulda left all the third kits active. Called them historical third kits or something.

The guy in this thread has added all the transfers since 24/8/2005 as EA listed on the official site in his fifa.db :

I suspect there will be updated rosters soon at breamster and sweetpatch also, and very big updates after the january transfer window, but by then I hope we have a working creation centre, then it's easy to do transfers and add players, leagues and teams ourselves...

cant you just sort the team kits table by kit type so you can see all the teams with 3rd kits?

Sure, but it doesn't tell which are activated by default and which not, I'm in the process of reconverting all my Fifa2005 kits to 06 format (save those made already in the kit forum) and I check the teams one by one as I import the kits, I'm not specifically looking for them.

Edit : - Added Hansa Rostock to discovered third kits

Grabbed that FIFA.DB and added all your found third kits into my existing FIFA.DB and exported the tables to the tranfer updated FIFA.DB and all is great.

I think you mean create a GK kit for FC Aarau? Do the same thing as for create a new third kit described in the first post of this thread but replace the "3" by a "2" and it is not necessary to add it in the unlockables as there are already generic keeper kits for teams that don't have a specific one.

I just wanted to add this in case people didn't know.

In Billy's description of what to do, where it says "cost: 500 (always)" you can change this to 50, 10, 1, etc and have cheaper unlock costs.

I changed mine to 10 and bought all of the fan shop items after I completed the beat the Classic 11 challenge. :)

Does anyone know how to lock a team? (like the Classic XI Team) Because if I add it to the unlockables table in the db and to common.ini, it appears as locked in the fan shop but i can stil play with it :(
