AC Milan Thread [2012/13]

He's a great player, but he's afraid to play because his body is practically destroyed, I remember Galliani or Berlusconi saying while Kaka' was still in Milan that he wants the refs to protect Kaka' a lot more because he could be forced to retire like Van Basten, this was in the season after Milan won the CL in 2007. I guess it was a bit more serious than it sounded then, they knew it, they've just hidden it to sell him better. It's obvious now, they tried to keep him but he was getting worse and eventually they had to sell him before he's fallen this low physically, IMO if they weren't in such debts they would have kept him, but with all the problems it wasn't possible. I mean we've got Ibra now and we're paying him the salary we payed to Kaka' then, and if Kaka' was at the top of his game no-one in Milan would swap him with Ibra not because of the quality but because of what he's given to Milan.

All that aside, I wouldn't like him at Milan, because unfortunately there is no place for him in this condition and plus Ibra would eat him alive just like Ronaldo and even Ozil is doing to him at Real, he doesn't need nor deserve such demoralizing. I respect Kaka' and unfortunately he should acknowledge that injuries have taken a toll on him and move to a less demanding club. He remains for me the best and the most elegant playmaker to have graced the red and black shirt. He may still shine as he hasn't lost the talent but the fact is that he wont be able to keep it up day in, day out because his body is unable to do it.

Xifio

The Von Trapps
- no last-minute deal for Ricky

- Aquilani for CAM

- Nocerino to replace, and hopefully render useless, the injured Flamini (who will not be registered with UEFA)

- no last-minute deal for Montolivo

- done deal for Montolivo on a Bosman in 2012

I was reading a news that EA Sports wants Kaka to stay with Real for now becuase they did lot's of marketing with Kaka as a main character in Real shirt.

That's weak to be honest. So they rather him enjoy all the money but not play much.

Sounds like Milan plans to do this to all there legends lately. I mean I can compare the same situation with one of my personal favorites of all time "Sheva". Can this be the same fate for Pato? I mean Look at Ronaldinho he said f*ck it and decided to play back home. Where I must say He's ripping it!!!

Oh and tits.
Are Milan in any sort of financial trouble? Why don't they sign a marquee player? Too much Bunga Bunga?

No, I meant this transfer window(I know the permanent thing). Someone to play behind the strikers(Van Der Vaart?) or someone to play at the left side of midfield(Bale?). Should have got those two........;)

Marquee signings are pretty much a sign that either you have lots of cash to burn, or need an improvement on what you have. Why would they want Bale at all? Doesn't fit whatsoever.

I mentioned Bale because Galliani was talking about a left sided midfielder or something like that and both of them because they play for Spuds. Would be great to see them leave :D.

I'm pretty sure he just meant someone to play on the left of the diamond or whatever narrow formation Milan play. I'm pretty sure they don't play with wingers, which is what Bale is. They'd have to stick him in the attacking trio or at left-back, and I don't think neither of those positions is a priority worth spenbding 50m or more for an overrated player.

I wasn't really thinking that seriously about who is gonna fit in or not. Two names came to mind from Tottenham so I just said it.

I'm not arguing with you, I'm just pointing out why what you said didn't make sense. I really do urge you to consider quality posts over quantity, just think over what you post, I'm sure you can think of something insightful at some point.

I guess the same happened to Sheva too, but to me it seems like Ronaldinho came already finished to Milan so I guess Barcelona did with Ronaldinho what Milan did with Sheva and Kaka'. Ronaldinho can only blame himself for his poor performances at Milan, the team was built around him with Leonardo.
