AAAAArgh - got my soundcard but now game won't run at all!

Wilks, mate you are having more probs than we had at Bradford, *.Vxd 'virtual device' relates to device drivers that reside in the Windows\system\Iosubsys directory, and these usually associate themslves to pieces of hardware, if you have more than one of them\or none, that relate to any hardware device, you will have severe problems when you try to run things, i think that VMM is related to 'Virtual Machine' and also relates to hardware devices, i must do some checks around the net and see what i can come up with, perhaps the Microsoft main site would be a good place to start .. most of those 'blue screens of death' usually mean that there is a hardware conflict within your system, 'not netscape or win 9*' but true to the superb info that microsoft built into there program, there is no detail on how to fix the bloody problem, most of the jargon that you try to decipher is mainly techno jargon that only software engineers can understand ..those Mobo drivers that you installed more than likely had a required *.vxd plus *.dll's tucked away in there that helped to fix the problem, suggest you do a peruse of the Iosubsys directory and see what *.vxd's are in there, that way you will have some idea on what is required if things go wrong again ...Ned

Still can't get the hang of the controls, but It is definitely better than FIFA. I have noticed the bugs tho - like when you sub your goalkeeper the one that comes on (sometimes) has some weird thing stuck to his side, like a couple of drumsticks...</STRONG>
