A-League Stadiums

Hey everybody,

I'm opening up this thread to get some interest to get conversions done of stadiums for the A-League clubs to FIFA16. All the clubs' home stadiums have been made virtually in high quality versions; having been converted to FIFA14 or existing in other sports' video games.

Here's the breakdown of the availability of stadiums:
ANZ Stadium: (Australia NT) (Rugby Challenge 3 & Rugby League Live 3)
Westpac Stadium: (New Zealand NT & Wellington Phoenix) (Converted to FIFA14)
AAMI Park: (Melbourne Victory & Melbourne City) (Converted to FIFA14)
Suncorp Stadium: (Brisbane Roar) (Converted to FIFA14)
Allianz Stadium: (Sydney FC) (Rugby Challenge 3 & Rugby League Live 3)
Hunter Stadium: (Newcastle Jets) (Rugby Challenge 3 & Rugby League Live 3)
nib Stadium: (Perth Glory) (Rugby Challenge 3)
Pirtek Stadium: (Western Sydney Wanderers) (Rugby League Live 3)
Central Coast Stadium: (Central Coast Mariners) (Rugby League Live 3)
Adelaide Oval: (Adelaide United) (AFL Live 2 DLC)

NB: Adelaide United usually play their regular season fixtures @ Coopers' Hindmarsh Stadium, with the recent trend being to play their KO Finals matches @ Adelaide Oval. However, the club is possibly looking at moving permanently to The Oval, as they've hosted big name friendlies against Liverpool and Malaga this year and last.

Essentially the choice would be between a Hindmarsh Stadium from PES6 made for the 2000 Olympics or an Adelaide Oval with remodellings as recent as 2013:

That is a massive project and I wish you good luck. If I knew a thing or two about editing in FIFA I would help out.

Well, pretty much all the stadiums are in some kind of virtual format. If only someone could extract that Adelaide Oval...

@43402470 Have you got Rugby League Live 3? It came out on Steam on Tuesday. If someone could get the game on PC that would help us to get Central Coast & Parramatta Stadiums!

I have given some a turn a few months back (some turned out ok some didn't) I just need someone to help me with the light mapping, crowd positioning and the ground surrounding the pitch, I cant quite figure that out yet!

I'm uploading the texture file and the blender file, if someone would be willing to help out that would be great!

Tempted to buy it!

Desperate for these stadiums! Would love to have a fully licensed A-League

Or you could simply buy it, extract the stadium files that you need & ask for a refund?

Great GUIMATOSS! even if you could just do the crowd layout, grass around the pitch and the light mapping that would be great!

For 15 and 16 please :)

Otimo, meu irmao! Obrigado pela sua ajuda!

BTW, I have two stadiums that may be of use to the Womens' teams, one from Rugby Challenge 2 and the other from FIFA 2003:

Here's how they look:

The first one in the video is Stade Sebastien Charlety. It hosts PSG Feminines, the France Womens' team & it is also the home stadium of Paris FC which is in Ligue 2 this season. It is located across the street from the Casa do Brasil in Paris! (H)

The second one is more recognisable. ;) Olympiastadion Muenchen has hosted a Women's UCL Final and I am thinking it can be used for Germany womens' national team and the Classic XI. :)

Awesome work, BTW, I think Svence (BFL Team) started on ANZ back in his FIFA14 thread. I will ask if he has the container, or better still the blender file + all textures mapped.

Here's the response from Wicked Witch Studios after I wrote to them a week ago asking about getting the Adelaide Oval from AFL Live 2:

Hello Robert, thank you for the message. Releasing the stadium from AFL Live 2 may not be as easy as we would like. We do have a master file of the stadium here at the studio, however as it is an official stadium from an official product, I doubt we have the rights to share it. Can you provide any more information on the format that is required?

How should I respond? I'm thinking of letting them know that we don't want to include any AFL markings nor AFL signage on the adboards, since the stadium is intended to be used for FIFA and Adelaide United. Hopefully, that would be sufficient enough to not breach any copyright issues for an AFL-licensed game. Also, if there could be a way of getting a format compatible with Blender, that would be awesome!

Sounds like bad news sadly! Don't think they would release it to you as it's an official product. No harm in trying though!

So here's what I wrote to them today:

RobbieD_PL said:
Dear Wicked Witch,

Thanks for your response! I'm happy to provide information regarding the required format. The FIFA series currently uses .rx3 container files on PC for its textured models, including stadiums. However, in order to convert stadiums into FIFA, stadium-makers in the editing community use the modelling programme called Blender. They export their models into the FIFA .rx3 format with a script made for Blender which also works for player faces, boots, balls etc. Stadiums are unique in FIFA, as they have separate files for crowds and floodlights which detail their x,y,z coordinates in relation to the stadium model, floodlights' luminosity as well as the positioning of home and away fans seated in the stadium. Stadiums in FIFA also have different coloured textures for different daylight settings: afternoon, evening and night.

As for any rights concerns, from what I have managed to gather from publicity images of AFL Live 2 & Youtube videos of AFL Live 2 gamers featuring the Adelaide Oval, AFL-specific things include the AFL Auskick, Toyota, Tissot and nab adboards around the stands, the goalposts, the umpires and the pitch markings. Since the stadium model is intended to be used in FIFA for Adelaide United's soccer matches only, the AFL specific pitch-markings and goalposts would be removed anyway before converting to FIFA, and the polygons containing the four AFL advertising textures in AFL Live 2 can easily be replaced with both static and electronic adboard polygons that use textures generated in FIFA.

So basically, having a stadium model of the Adelaide Oval with its textures mapped in a format editable in Blender would be ideal to convert the stadium to FIFA. If there's anything else that you need me to explain, please let me know.

Thanks again for your response,
Robert
