@Louay Where did you find Czech, Hungarian and Korean commentary files?

@fifayoun Also, it must be noted that some commentary languages have different commentators than in FIFA16.

French: Pierre Ménès is the colour commentator instead of Franck Sauzée.

There are no Czech, Hungarian, Korean or Japanese commentary in FIFA16.

Finally, I also have all the commentary files extracted from the 2018 World Cup DLC for every language in FIFA18.

This might be possible, what have you attempted and which files have you used?

@fifayoun Thus far, I've only managed to explore the debug .sbr files using hexeditors, which show the indexes of all the soundbanks. Everything related to teams are there from UEFA EUROs 2008 & 2012 + all the team specific lines from 2010 and 2014 World Cups. Also note that all the player commentary names from 2010 are already in eng_us_2 by default. So it would just mean adding all the player names (+ player lines) newly made for 2014 World Cup & the team lines for those UEFA and other confederations' teams not in FIFA by default.

Also note that eng_us is Martin Tyler & Andy Smith (sole commentary for 2018 FIFA World Cup DLC) & eng_us_2 is Clive Tyldesley & Andy Townsend (default commentary for International matches in FIFA16 and the sole commentary in 2014 & 2010 FIFA World Cups)

I'm wondering if it would be possible to have say two commentary teams at different stages of a tournament: eng_us_2 for qualification & eng_us for the Finals.

Youth Team
So do they have .sbr and .sbs files or not?

No, those files extracted from data7.big only have the .sbr files and other files used for commentary in them (for Czech and Hungarian, for Korea there is nothing).

The commentary files themselves (cze_cz.big and hun_hu.big) are not there (I don't even know if they exist, probably only found in local versions of the game).

I'm wondering if it would be possible to have say two commentary teams at different stages of a tournament: eng_us_2 for qualification & eng_us for the Finals.

I have the 2014 FIFA World Cup game on PS3 and I extracted all the commentary files (including the .sbs and sbr). One thing I noticed is that in the audiodata folder, there is this file: commentary_eventsystem.bin. This file regulates and triggers the events, which are described in the audiodata/***_**/***_**.xml files (* is language name, like eng_us_2).

Opening with hex editor shows a lot of lines, for example: BANTER_QUALIFYING.

Opening the same file (commentary_eventsystem.bin) from FIFA 19 PS3 version, you can see that the filesize is a bit bigger (newer lines added), however some of the lines that were in the World Cup game are not there anymore, some have remained. I think this file has the lines of commentary the game recognises (since it's in the rootfolder of audiodata and not in a language folder). Now, I will try to test it myself by adding the 2014 FIFA World Cup commentary files (eng_us_2.big/bh) to FIFA 19 on PS3 and see whether the game recognises the commentary (it should) and then I'll try playing the World Cup to see whether it makes use of those lines or not. If it does, then all is well, if it does not, then I might try changing the FIFA 19 commentary_eventsystem.bin with the 2014 FIFA World Cup version and see if that triggers a change. However, this could mean that some of the new "lines" of commentary for the other languages might not be used since I would be using an outdated file that might consist of things that aren't there anymore. I have no information as to how this file can be changed and whether it is possible to find a way to "add" those removed lines (to trigger them) or that you have to change the .bin files in the audiodata/eng_us folder to make changes, but since EA found a way to automatically determine which commentary team should be for the default game and which one for the international games, there probably is some kind of trigger in the FIFA 16 audiodata files (or it's hardcoded in the game).

I don't have the PC version of course (PS4 player here), therefore the only files I have are the PS3 ones, but on the PS3 this auto change system does not exist, because EA "removed" (in other words cut/left out the option) the secondary commentary team (and custom chants) due to "hardware limitations" (if that was the case then they would have never been possible on the PS3, nor would their files and references still be in the game files, which they are), but by simply adding the eng_us_2.big from the 2014 FIFA World Cup back, you have them again.

However, like I said, to identify the possibility you ask for I would need the audiodata files (and the eng_us.big and eng_us_2.big) files from PC to see what makes the difference between 2 seperate options in the menu (PS3) and 1 option that changes depending on the type of game (PC). And then we could also test whether adding the 2014 FIFA World Cup PS3 commentary files to FIFA 16 on PC could make it an seperate option in the menu like on PS3.

I don't know whether I said something useful with this wall of text, the point is that we can simply guess and test all kinds of possibilities and changes to see whether this is something feasible or too complicated.

BTW, another update from me. I've imported two soundbank filesets of .sbs & .sbr - one called "legends" & the other "legends_dlc". From decompressing the debug file, "legends" are the players callnames when they receive the ball & "legends_dlc" are the shooting callnames (when main commentator yells in anticipation of a shot) & colour commentary lines (player details).

However, despite having added these files, I only have 1 player's possession call name - Franz Beckenbauer & no-one else. There are callnames for Maradona, Matthäus, Pele, Baresi, but none of them are called ingame. I wonder if there are commentary codes that I have to use to trigger them?

Another reason why it did not work could also be because you need to change the FIFA 16 audiodata/moduledefs/assetindex.xml and add these lines for the game to recognise it:

<AssetDescription Name="Commentary" Type="EAAudioSampleBank">
<AssetAttribute Name="Path" Value="audiodata/speechdata/*0" />
<AssetAttribute Name="BankName" Value="LEGENDS" />
</AssetDescription>
<AssetDescription Name="Commentary" Type="EAAudioSampleBank">
<AssetAttribute Name="Path" Value="audiodata/speechdata/*0" />
<AssetAttribute Name="BankName" Value="LEGENDS_DLC" />
</AssetDescription>

Because these lines probably aren't there.

If I add them, will they work? I added similar lines from eng_us speechdata files without success.

Robbie, I downloaded the national anthems from you and gave them to the appropriate folder, but they are not played in the game. What are you the cause? Will you advise something?What files can be responsible?

Most important thing is to make sure that your team IDs are the same as EA ones & then to regenerate using .fat/.bh regeneration tool.

Hey guys, do any of you have this Olivier Giroud face conversion to FIFA 16 from FIFA 18 by Figeroo? All the links are down.
