I don't believe in austerity measures during recession, so the whole party is pretty much anathema to me right now. I also actually think the government can do good and that health care should be a right in the 21st century. Oh, and I don't want to cause a nuclear war in the middle east to destroy Israel and bring about the end times (A BIG PART OF THIS COUNTRY BELIEVES THE RAPTURE IS IMMINENT).

Ah you see I'm an austerity man, though more so for Europe than the US. But Romney is not really and austerity candidate anyway.

I think you probably should have universal healthcare but I also think Obamacare is an overly complex piece of legislation, though apparently now it's starting to take effect people on both sides seem to actually quite like it.

The China thing is just political talk, despite all his statements, he really wouldn't do anything about. Unless he wants to piss off a lot of Company owners here in the U.S, most of whom you know donated to his campaign.

Obamacare is a shameless handout to private insurance companies with 1 or 2 good tidbits in there. No one can be refused coverage because of a preexisting condition now at least, but I agree. All of my complaints of him (and there are a lot) come from the left.

And you see people on the right saying Obamacare is good? All I hear is "muslim socialist communist athiest 0bummer is ruining are country!"

EDIT: And no Romney isn't an austerity candidate. That's the shell game Republians play. Oh, they'll spend money, it'll just be on tax cuts and defense.

I mean the voters, polls have shown Obamacare to have slipped very far down the list of electoral priorities among voters whereas it was once a major issue.

No, I'll have to do that at some point. Or maybe I won't. I think Obama is much better than Romney, but I don't particularly like either. I'm a leftist and there is no viable liberal party in this country; just a centrist one and a right wing one.

That's what makes it cost effective. Insurance companies allegedly couldn't insure people with preexisting conditions if young people could refuse to buy insurance. Why everyone seems to accept that profits at the expense of approving medical treatment is an acceptable thing is beyond me.

Some small bits of news. Voting machines down in several locations in Cleveland, Ohio. Chrysler and Ford have given everyone the day off.

Ha CNN are now claiming there are "unverified reports" that voting machines in Ohio have been changing peoples votes from Obama to Romney.

However, what is a fact is that there could be as many as 200k provisional ballots in Ohio which dont get counted for TEN DAYS, so if the margin is less than 200k we cant have an verified result from Ohio for 10 days. I'm guessing those ballots will mostly be for Obama because it requires people to forget their IDs or bring wrong information or various other things which only Democrat voters do.

These things only matter in the event of a recount. I highly doubt 200,000 provisional ballots are out there solely because of fraudulent voting machines.

You might have missed it in the midst of Fox News' mini-freakout of "BLACK GUY STANDING OUTSIDE OF ONE POLLING LOCATION GATE", but the dude is a registered poll worker and the only thing he ever did was hold the door open for people.

First polls have closed in the Eastern Timezone parts of Indiana and Kentucky. Having polls close at 6pm sounds retarded to me, but these states don't exactly want as many people voting as possible, if you get my meaning.
