My Major Ideas for this project:

Does anyone know how to edit the fifa10.exe so that it allows for the following?

1. Trophy Celebration with the actual world cup trophy being shown instead of a ball. (including some cool cinematics for this)

2. 11 subs on a team - like in euro and WC competitions, whereby the manager has to select his squad of 22 players for the finals, and can have 18 for a match in qualifiers.

3. World Cup commentary. Either cinematics or other triggers that allow for world cup commentary sequences.

3.We can't import WC commentary, because the audio format was changed since FIFA 09, so Euro 08 / WC 06 commentary can't be imported.MOREOVER, these 2 commentaries are very bad, the commentators don't know to say even 1/2 phrases compared with 10 commentary .

IT WOULD BE PERFECT, because in that case, all we would have to do is a menu, new hud (maybe EAFH'll help us with his amazing new pop-up style), some graphics enhancements and that's all (your list is incredible !).

If you can do the patch without having national anthems, you can insert the world cup in a manager mode... You can make a league for each qualification group of UEFA, CONMEBOL, etc... The first league to play is the qualifications, second league is WC qualifications, finally a playoff that are WC final knock-out rounds. Of course in this way you have to do everything in the same year that is 2009/2010...

The simpliest way instead is to make a tournament with only qualifications and the final WC tournament.

Another great compromise can be making the tournaments like in World National Patch 09. Robbie, if you want I can give you the db to look at it

Teams are no problem, only stadiums are a very time consuming process. Essentially, the stadium models, banners and adboards meshes are fine, the only thing is the crowd meshes dont fit FIFA 10 format, so that means each individual mesh from each stadium has to be rotated.... I think we would need GUIMA, elkaos and bohemio to help us, but GUIMA left SG... at least they could collaborate unofficially. They have converted already a few stadiums.

EDIT: I really want to beat EA at its own game; if this is going to be a real RTWC then all 199 teams + others are going to have to be in this patch - to show those basterds how we can upstage them!

BTW, point 2 i have seen done before on a previous FIFA, some German programmer managed to tweak the .exe somehow to allow for more subs.

Ok, so all the teams you mentioned can take part in FIFA 10.
They have logos, kits, minikits, banners, flags etc ?
If yes, it's amazing.
Regarding stadiums, we we'll.
It's not a problem if the imported stadiums would have FIFA 09 Type Crowd, because FIFA 09 crowd looks good, too, if it's patched (Stankan Ultimate Crowd, for .e.g.).
BTW, where is Stankan ? I want to know if I can use his crowd in mod ...

Yea but I'm not sure I can continue with clubs in MM, then.
I want just TO ADD FIFA WC 10 in FIFA 10, not to replace all the game.
For instance, I want to mentain Premier League (teams & stadiums) etc, and not to remove everything except the national teams.
This is JUST a mod, not a whole game.
If we would make a WHOLE game, for sure only national teams would take part, but I don't think so.
By the way, you have in attachments the official soundtrack of WC 10 mod.

I think the Manager Mode option is probably the best one.

The only thing is we would have to disable a lot of things including job security, scouting, transfers ( ! ) and income, and i wonder if losing things like that won't make the mode crash .

@ Merdiso: There is also the possibility of making a WC MODE, it works as a seperate game from FIFA, but based on the FIFA engine. It takes the core files required from fifa and creates a new file directory and setup. I think this will be the best form for such a grand patch.

imo, a mix of shortsleeved & 2 different long sleeve minis, 2 different kinds of minifaces take away from the quality of a patch.
