LOL. Spain boring ? you are insane, they have the best ball circulation seen on a football team and the dutch won only from stupid involuntar goals by now, they played nothing.

I am predicting AND HOPING that this will be as boring as Italy 1-1 France.

I will be skipping the first half, watching the second half and will stop watching as soon as the game is over. Just the thought of Xabi Alonso lifting the World Cup sickens me to my very core.

What are the chances of Paul's owners cooking up the containers, to make one more attractive to Paul than the other? Apart from Serbia beating Germany, in all the other games the favourite was always chosen.

Since this is hollands third and spains first final and experiencing some spanish and no dutch overexcitement about it, i think im gonna cheer for my neighbors.

Sneijder, who has been in excellent goalscoring form, is not (and never has been) as good a distributor of the ball as Raffie, and thus isn't that classic #10 who can cleave open the opposition with killer passes ... I don't mean to imply that Sneijder should be benched, but that van der Vaart should start in the middle as the classic #10, with Sneijder allowed the freedom of being a shoot-on-sight midfielder ...

both Spain and Holland will want to possess the ball, and Sneijder is too direct with his approach to be the focal point of passing interchanges that would see the Dutch maintain the lion's share of possession ... Xavi is that man for Spain; Raffie should be that man for Holland ...

I would bench Van Persie (who has been poor up front, and whose only goal was ironically assisted by none other than van der Vaart), and have Kuyt working hard up front ... Sneijder would start on the left, van der Vaart in the middle, and of course Robben on the right ... as the match progresses, all 4 forward players can mix and match their positions for a fluid formation up front ...

I can't see Van Marwijk being that bold, but that is what I think would allow Holland to control possession, and score first -- two keys to win the match ...

He needs Kuyt on the wing for defensive purposes. It would be silly to put him up top. Almost as silly as putting Sneijder on the wing.
