it won't work if they play like this. the whole reason that gasol was such a good pick up is that it allowed odom to be the 3rd scorer. but the lakers are such a huge finesse team that it's ridiculous. gasol is a good player, but he does not have one angry bone in his body. he dunked over ray allen and gave a menacing grin in his direction. very nice. a C dunking on a SG. have a ******* cookie. but without a banger, the celtics are free to roam around, they don't have to clog the paint, they can go 1v1. lamar can save them cause he can play anything from PG to PF, he has the ability. this in turn will give gasol open looks. but lamar HAS to stay agressive and not wilt, and kobe has to step it up. lakers will win next game, but will lose in boston. Cs have much better teamwork and determination. i think when Kobe breezed through the West he was expecting a much easier time versus the celtics. he was very surprised tonight.

I can't comprehend how a bunch of D-leaguers, a soppy c/unt of a Centre and Kobe managed to make it all the way to the finals, man. They've been acutely bad....to an embarrassing degree from the coaching staff on down, and yet they're still kinda in this abortive mess of a finals series. They were up 14 at one point in the 4th and I don't remember once having the feeling that they'd sustain that lead for any length of period. Thibo has rendered the triangle offense completely obsolete and useless, Phil has gotten so smug or senile (cant figure out which) that it looks as though he's deliberately squandering these massive leads, man.


-odom's an irredeemably dumb human....so gifted physically yet so stunted mentally

-that girly named faggot who refers to himself as the "Machine" is entirely without a redeemable quality. He's an absolute fouling machine who's bball IQ is nonexistent....he thinks that rubbing yourself up against an opponent like a common homosexual at yer local gay den is how to play D......WTF? How the hell is he getting so much burn in crucial periods of the game?

-fisher's been utterly worthless as a playmaker...the dude's been garbage

-kobe...he's been doubled or tripled teamed the entire series, but that's no excuse for his wretched shooting performances thus far, man...I just wanna commit the gravest form of murder against folks who compare him to Jordan in my presence, man....he can't even begin to sniff the jockstrap of a post comeback Jordan let alone his pre retirement incarnation

-gasol....I've already spoken about this ugly faggot, but I'll lay off 'em today since he had a solid outing last night....it has to be said that his inept coaching staff and D-leaguer teammates have failed him considerably in how they get the most out of his attributes and conceal his weaknesses.

you know, i hate to agree with you on garnett, but i will. i loved him in his career. he stuck with a loser franchise when it was obvious owner and gm had no desire or will to win. he had a lot of honor and felt obligated to give it his all every night even though his team was always terrible.

that being said... what. the. ****. choke after choke after choke. how the hell do you miss 2 FTs with the chance to tie the score with 4 minutes left? how? he wouldn't have even hit that jumper if poor pierce didn't go around kobe and straight at gasol. ******* pansy. absolute ******* pansy. gasol outmuscled him in the paint and scored right in his grill. where's the passion, the fire, the screaming??? what the **** man.

Everyone I talked to knew this was coming man. Maybe not 39 points but I knew they were gonna blow them out. Congrats to Boston, they were the best team all season long and are deserved champions.

Being from L.A, I was hearing these past two days about how the lakers were going to make a comeback and win it all. I'm not a big basketball fan, let alone a lakers fan, but even then I knew they would get beat. Never thought it would be this bad

Haha, I was honestly saying the same thing about making a comeback but I was just trying to be optimistic. I knew it'd be tough but I didn't expect us to just lay down and take a beating like that. The haters will be out in full force tomorrow around here, can't wait for that.

I really dislike Sasha as a persona of basketball and I don't usually feel that way with B-ball players.

I'm so happy for KG, that vid even made me feel emotional... I'm glad he got it.

I'm so happy that KG got his. The championship seems, not fraudulent but I cannot find the word...just not authentic for some reason. It seems like the Celtics just bought themselves an NBA title. I'm really pissed that Sam Cassell, the ugly mother ****er that he is, just got to ride his way to a ring.

This is Cassell's third ring. He won back to back titles with the Hakeem Rockets teams of the early 90s.

yea i was just going to agree with the whole "authentic" thing. the whole roster changed overnight. they got the best shooter in the game along with a battle tested, and very very good PF, and voila. combine the fact that not one key player missed a significant amount of time, and you have a championship. still, I admire them for being able to work so well for just spending such a short time together, but it feels weird.

Cassell is such a fun loving, amiable dude...always got a smile on his face, so I really don't understand why he's hated so much...it really can't be all because of his misshapened head and facial structure, can it?


Anyway. Where does this championship rank in the state of Massachusett's sporting achievements in the last little while? Is it 3rd, 5th, or even dead last?


The most celebrated is without a doubt the Red Sox's '04 World Series victory then followed by the '07 one, then the Pat's first championship, ironically also against a St. Louis based team, then the Celts? Or does the sheer magnitude of the sSuperbowl put the Pat's other two championships ahead of the Celt's accomplishment this year?

Boston is clearly a Red Sox town, even though they've been losers pretty much their whole existence while the Celts are probably the most prestigious sporting organization in North American sports when it comes to winning along with the Yanks and the Canadiens...gotta remember, these fuuckers went 8-10 in the decade of the 60s interms of conquering their respective league yet they don't get nearly the same amount of praise and honor as those up until recently lovable losers the Red Sox do. And as for the Pat's conquests...I mean, cmon....it's the NFL....a league that's bigger than the other three major sports combined.
