VV won 2-1... tomorrow I play a div1 Norwegian, best defender suspended, other central defender on a booking. Home advantage and facilities income as well, hopefully I can make it through again.

At this rate, myfatcat will draw White StarZ and win. ;)

Btw Steve, 4-3 ;) Although it was 4-0 at some point I think, until two late goals made the scoreline more respectable. :o

Quick look at the visitor's team reveals no major stars, just a 7-ball goalie at a guess. They play a wierd "4-3-3" with one wide forward but the other two narrower. Obviously plays use wings, but I'll stop now since obviously chris has done his homework here :)

We know VV has a great team, but TH have a few good players, a good belgian midfielder for one. And they had a convincing 6-1 win in the last round and they're currently top of their league. Could be close, but I see there's no stopping SG so far.

Yep, I just noticed we all have home ties :D.
They have one very scary attacker in Dale Hightower, who's better than all my strikers. However, the rest of the team doesn't seem great. Weak fullbacks particularly. I think I might be able to win the midfield battle too. But it's gonna be bloody close, they must be that high ranked for a reason :(

Prediction: er .... sods law says I'm not gonna say anything :D

I thought the one wide forward was possibly due to a suspension / injury and a player automatically replaced, sometimes they go into weird places, but it appears to be every match, so I think it's meant to be like that.

Btw, I seem to remember someone submitting a forward called Hightower to MZNS, before it was revamped. Possibly in the Canadian team.

Oh man... lost to a golden goal 5 mins from a penalty shootout.

49% possession, so equal really, 8-11 SC, was hoping my strikers would get more shots on target. :S

Damn, my best cup run is over, wish I had Lynch for this game, just got the Gold Medal Cup, another defender banned and I'll lose that as my opponents are div2 Swedes. :p

At least I got some money, shame I couldn't get more.

Unruly got beaten by the same side I was beaten by then, I will check the result later... great to see you through, Semi Finals, as long as you don't lose twice now, you'll finish in the top three and get some prizes, MZ Money and team assets, not to mention the match income. :D
