ok dave
when u go in options , click on multipalyer , then click on multiplayer matchup , then u'll be taken to the ea matchup site and play with other people .

I go the the site and it reads as>>>

If you want to proceed, click on the "UPDATE" link below. This will automatically begin the update process, and then direct you to the Matchmaker.

If you prefer not to update at this time, click "No Thanks" to return to the game home page. However, if you do not update, you will not be able to use the FIFA WORLD CUP 2002 Matchup Service.

Sorry, you could not connect to EA.com Matchup (cannot connect).
Can anyone please tell me why?

I could connect

but because of my slowly connection (56k) I have to be connected for more tha 6 hours to get the update.
So can anyone put the update somewhere so that IO can download it?
