This year I plan to play online too... now I got a top notch comp setup and plan to get top notch broadband upgrade to my current broadband package.

I will certainly test it out and post my thoughts soon. Might see you online ;)

My first post in quite a while but on a 288/1152 connection PES5 online is like...................MAMMA! I expected slowdown but none. I could only get a quick game in and had to give it up (gf trouble) and I was losing 2-0 at the time.....but whoah so impressed and monday or tuesday I will be back online with PES5 :D

Well in fact there isn't any 3rd part utilities available.
You just need to buy the game and find your opponent through the lobby.

Aha, that explains it then. 2nd halves are very laggy at times.

Was it just me or did I not notice a lag in a second half? I got my first full online game in (and got stuffed 5-1) but had no lag problems. I guess I was disappointed (the only) was the fact I couldn't really chat apart from er.......pre written stuff like goal!! good game and so on.

if the other guy has a good connection, you almost cant tell you are the client. I think the switch between client and host is great idea. Because now both sides has equal chances.
But only when both sides has a good connection.

I have a router and it plays so good, I won my last match with 9-2(!) while I even missed a penalty :p
