Very nice kits man :)

Try to set your texture on Multiply, duplicate it, set on Screen, go to Image > Adjustments > Brightness/Contract, set Brightness on -100, go once more to Brightness/Contract and set Brightness on -80.

This way you will see the texture on black and dark parts of the kits too :)
