Tactic ideas

I want to design a new tactic, however, for the last 30 minutes I have been sitting here just editing the overview screen and I just can't find a balance.

Could someone give me some ideas on formations, or bettering that, a request so I can make one.

Also let's get some strategies in the thread.

How does a crossfield tactic sound, the DML on long ball passing to the right, most cases then it would end up at the MR on AMR.

Stuff like that, now it's over to you.

Gareth, how the tables have turned. Your are but the student but now I am the master . I've always wanted to do a 4-1-4-1 that worked, and let's see if instead you can do it. Model it after Man Utd's play, with the DMC starting the attack and ending the other club's attack .

There's a reason for that: BECAUSE THEY SUCK! . I've never been able to make 3 FC better than 1 AMC and 2 FC, and I believe my experiences are normal to all CMers.

Yep. 3 strikers is to much of an attacking formation.

It's not that, it is that it unbalances the squad, while you can have MCs and AMCs make supporting runs in the attack and have the best of both worlds. That is why weird tactics like AJ01's 23212 work well.

you seem like a tactics master, so tell me what you think bout those...

the top 3 and the bottom left, I used made them for my Rushden game, and they worked quite well, I went all the way from the Conference league, lost in the UEFA Cup final when i was in 2nd division, and now im first in the 1st Division. But on my Berlin game, those tactics almost got me relegated

Now, I made those two other tactics, and I get pretty good results

The first one should be piss easy to do.
Second one I think I just deleted one similar to that.
Third one looks weird. I may give it a go.
Forth one is a 4-1-2-1-2 should be pretty much piss.
Fifth one, you are joking right, I don't trust the amount of arrows?
Sixth I doubt will work.

I once did a really sweet 3 striker tactic. I won 20 matches without a single defeat until it was eventually cracked and I have not used it again since.

i think the success with the two last ones, was just luck....

I went on a tour with Union Berlin to Portugal, and they suck.... I won three games with the 4th one though

The DDL using is far too sharp. Make it more 30 degrees rather than 45 degrees, also use the midfielders to cut out through balls.

the 2nd tactic is a lot like mine at valencia, except i put the middle CB to DMC, works wonders at the Mestalla.

DDL - Diagonal Defensive Line. And how the **** does that thing work?! The outside fullback on the left isn't close to the touchline, so pacey wingers can just run at them and get in a cross easily. You need to space out and drop back those players soon.

are you talking about mine? this works very well for me at Valencia, i overrun the midfield meaning even the top sides cant get it to the wings.

TROD. I play hard tackling, pressing, Short or Direct passing depending on the other team and the offside trap.

By the way, i often play Ronaldinho up front with Vicente on the left, Konstantianou sometimes annoys me...
