I have a question guys. I was playing with the 90s database and it seems like there are no crowds in the stadiums. Plus there is also a crash when I select England 1998 in friendly games

Yeah IMO FIFA 17 has really good balance. It's not too modern and also it is really balanced gameplay-wise. It also uses Frostbite which is blessing in disguise, since we can't do much things to these days on this damned engine. I am big advocate for editing newest edition, but it's quite tiring XD
Should have sticked to some PES 6 when I was tring to mod it in 2015. But then I bought new PC and installed FIFA 16 :)
But yeah if I was to choose unbiasedly Frostbite game it would be 17. 18 has bigger gameplay flaws and since 19 shitfest with unbalanced gameplay to this day started. Maybe 23 was quite fun with acceleration types introduced and it was pretty balanced, had WC content and it was honestly the most fun since Frostbite for me in the end. But that is the key "in the end". Newer games are not adjusted to play with 70-80 rated players, but 99 pace, dribbling, 5 SM, 96 overall demons.
If I were to choose non-Frostbite FIFA I would say 11 console version. Never beating through balls there. And pretty balanced game. Shame we don't have this particular version on PC, as we have some 10-11 remix here and it's far from being the same.
